{The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass}

The Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass Mills in Florida are not to be missed if you ever are in the Miami area!
This is also the Valet parking entrance and you are at the right corner to start browsing Neiman Marcus Last Call, Saks Fifth Avenue or Bloomingdale's and all Outlets at the Colonnade to your right.
Sawgrass Mills is the largest outlet mall in the United States!
HOW large?
2.1 million square feet or 195,096 square meters, which is 19.5 hectare!
According to Miami.com's Sawgrass Mills Survival guide you deserve a medal - and a foot massage if you ever walk those 350 stores and outlet shops...
Yep, in the above screenshot, you see Neiman Marcus to the left and at the top you read Escada and that's how all designer outlets are lined up on both sides of the Colonnade and under a roof.
Rain or shine - you will be fine.
Neiman Marcus with super bargains and if you can't make it to the outlet, you also can order on line: Neiman Marcus Last Call ←(click it)
Trip Advisor review by me:
The Valet parking is a MUST in order to save your feet as the parking lot is like Miami.com put it here above: acres of parking lots with no empty space in sight...
There also is a Wolford outlet store; one of my favorites.
Have you ever been to the Sawgrass Mills Mall?

    1. Dearest Claudia,
It is a bit more than a store; more like a complete city and no way you can see those stores all in one day. You have to study what you like to visit and than go. In Florida we encounter lots of Germans that shop there while on vacation, it sure pays off!
      Hugs to you,
      Mariette

oh that sounds great, even when I am not such a "Shopping-Person" .... but I guess, this Center is worth visiting :O) Well, but I never would spend my Holidays in a Shopping-Center ...LOL...

  2. Dear Mariette,

What a wonderful looking Outlet Store and yes, it all seems to be there for some great shopping.
A bonus too, having the Valet parking.

We always go there for all our gift giving and so on. Better to stack up on certain things than paying way too much at a time you need them. That Valet parking is a blessing and we will use that in the future every time.
      Hugs,

You will be surprised with this location and if you happen to travel by car, even better. So many tourists still frequent the Sawgrass Mills Mall and the Colonnade boutique outlets. It makes for a perfect combination when traveling down south. Escada, Neiman Marcus Last Call and Wolford is pretty much where I find my favorite pieces. Also for Pieter at Neiman's and at times at Saks Fifth Avenue...
      Hugs to you,

  4. Haha, I like it's called Sawgrass Mills "Survival" guide :-) It must be really like that in such huge area and so many shops! Sure needs foot massage after visiting there.
My memories are mixed up and I can't remember if I've been there or not. Would love to visit (or re-visit) there!

Yeah, 'Survival' guide is indeed a good one!
But a fact is that for Sawgrass Mills, you better do your homework, getting on line and studying the lay out and pinpoint which stores you like to visit. Then knowing the entrance for that section and trying to park there - IF you are lucky to find a spot!
It is HUGE and you have to wear your walking shoes...

Oh, it is a shopper's paradise and lots of families will stock up here on clothes for their kids, like at the huge Osk-Kosh store etc. If traveling by car, one can easily do that. We have read many license tags from Canada over the decades that we go there. Quite interesing how far people travel in order to go to South Florida. But it is so beautiful out there; provided you are not plagued by a hurricane or tornado...
      Hugs and love to you,

  10. Lieve Mariette,

    Lieve groet,
    Ger

    1. Lieve Ger,
      Liefs,
      Mariette

It is a lovely way to build this in with your Miami stay! Wish we had had this at first when we came to the USA but we didn't know about any... only found out on December 26, 1993 en route to a funeral in Delaware when we made a stop at Prince William in Virginia. We needed it even more in the previous ten years...
Yes, you will see some of my (few) items that I found this time in a next post and thank you for the compliment! Finding such designer bargains is also a great motivation for staying in shape so you still fit in your treasures!
      Hugs,

    1. Beste Marianne,

  16. Oh, we don't have "outlet" close to my house. I wish we had p;) Must take long to browse around, though. I thought it must be great to stop by with you and choose clothes with you♡♡♡

We are having very normal rainy season here in our place, which is fortunate ;-) Have a wonderful week ahead, Mariette.

    1. Dearest Miyako,
Well, at the Escada store I buy my size 34 (European) or size 4 US. They did have size 32 and size 30 this time; made me feel FAT! That is more for Japanese women that are very frail but they do carry it and nowhere else you find that. In The Netherlands the smallest size always was 38 and I was forced to wear children's clothes... For that I'm very happy to live in the USA!
Browsing does not need to take long, if you plan very well and know where to go it works fine. If I just had to go store after store it would make me very dizzy...
We too get lots of rain here. Yesterday I was about to carry our supper out to the gazebo but it started pouring down again... So we ate inside in the kitchen!
      Hugs and love,
      Mariette
