{Red Hibiscus - Rosa Sinensis}

Love to show you our Red Hibiscus - Rosa Sinensis Flowers from the 'Snow Queen' - Variegated.
The light was for once, just perfect for capturing this beauty on August 10.
The above photos are from August 10.
One more photo from September 28, to show you also the variegated leaves... Some insect has been feasting on this red flower!

      Danke und entschuldige das ich kaum Blogs gesehen habe während ich im Krankenhaus war und es war mir nach der Operation garnicht danach. Nun das Fieber runter ist und der Finger nicht mehr so weh tut geht es schon viel besser!

      So far I have not been up to reading a lot with fever and surgery but now the pain is down I finally manage to catch up.
      Working on my iPad and don't know when I will be able again to type...

      Yes, after yesterday's surgery and with the fever down I'm doing so much better! Got my finger re-dressed half an hour ago and they want to let me go home today!
      Miss a great young cellist who performs at the theatre in a couple of minutes.... But Pieter will enjoy him!

  12. What a lovely flower!! I used to have two plants, but the frost killed them both.
    As for your Devil's walkingstick, I don't know if it exists in Greece, but its flowers look like the sambucus a little.

      Thank you and we do have to shelter this variegated red flowering beauty from frost as well!
      The Devil's-walking stick looks indeed familiar to the Sambucus but the fact that it blooms late in summer sets it apart from the spring blooming elderberry.
      Just wrote to Dimi that today they let me go home but I do have to stay one more day on antibiotics since the wound still looks angry...

      Ja bei uns hällt der Sommer etwa zwei Monate länger... Es ist ein wirklich exotischer Hibiskus in leuchtendes rot!

      With the full sunlight the red came out brilliant indeed and made it look exotic.
      Well I was told that today I could go home but my doctor came to seeme once more and from the photo I'd taken after they removed the dressing, he said it still looks too angry... No more pain since the surgery so that is fine!

      Ja Krank war ich nicht... Aber am Dienstag wo ich ein Erdeichhörnchen retten wollte von unsere Katze die es die Treppe hoch trug, Da hat die Katze mich im linkerem Zeigefinger gebissen, genau aufs untere Gelänk. Winzige Wunde aber am nächsten Tag fing die ganze Hand an zu schwellen sowie auch den Finger. Mein Arzt hat mich sofort zur Ersthilfe im Krankenhaus geschickt und da bin ich noch, wurde am Freitag operiert. Morgen darf ich heim.
      Aber du bist du und dein Herz und alles in Ordnung?
