My Favorite Ice Cream is Häagen-Dazs

POWER OUT SINCE 00:30 MIDNIGHT OCTOBER 11, WHEN HURRICANE CAME THROUGH
Still NO POWER at  17:50
Yay, Power came back on at 19:30 so it was off for only 19 hrs...

Each and every time we go to Sawgrass Mills in Florida, we treat ourselves to a delicious Häagen-Dazs ice cream!
Always I have a Pineapple Coconut Häagen-Dazs...
And so does husband Pieter!

What is your favorite taste?

Thanks for your visit and comment.

Pieter did enjoy that also in his previous years...

  2. Dear Mariette,

Always a treat to have an ice cream. My favourite is boysenberry or passionfruit.
Hope you are having a great week

Some delicious choices you name here. Usually I never eat any sweets due to my Diabetes Type 2 but I do indulge in this kiddo size Häagen-Dazs once or twice a year...
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  3. Nice pictures. I don't eat Haagen Dasz, although you can get it here. I take the Greek ice cream, which is also very good and much cheaper because it isn't imported.

Well, we usually don't eat any ice cream due to diabetes type 2 problems, so it doesn't matter for only once or twice annually. But you are right about that. In my younger years I've eaten lots of ice cream and vanilla was my favorite.
As kids we loved our Sunday treat when the Sibema ice cream man came with his cart and Mom & Dad bought us a yummy 'Roomijs'...
      Hugs,

    1. Dearest Tammy,
That sounds delicious as well, as long as you are allowed to have your sweets.
Since 2007 I've stopped eating it due to my diabetes type 2 but once or twice a year we indulge in a kiddo-size like the above!
      Hugs,

    1. Dearest Rosemary,
You are lucky if you can still eat ice cream without health issues.
I have my ice cream maker but not used it in so long since I've been diabetes type 2.
But you're right, those are the very best!
      Hugs,

  6. Icecream always is nice, dearest Mariette :O)
I like fruity ice, like Orange or raspberry ( but I am not a big Icecream-eater ...) ;O)
    Have a lovely week,

Guess it is a world wide favorite of all people!
But due to health issues I had to let go of it, but I don't mind sinning once or twice annually with a small sized Häagen Dazs.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  7. Hello Mariette, I don't eat a lot of ice cream because I cannot tolerate milk, but a good vanilla can be supreme, and is perhaps the ultimate test of the ice cream maker.

That has been my childhood and youth flavor, up till 2007 when they found I was diabetes type 2.
So I've quit eating my favorite ice cream but any time we go to Florida we indulge in this kiddo sized concoction!
      Hugs,

    1. Dearest Sami,
Oh it tastes so yummy but since 2007 I've refrained from sweets...
Health issues dictate what we ought to eat and what not.
Still, sinning once or twice annually is not bad, especially for such a small size.
Anything salted is even worse for my CKD between stage 3 and 4.
Hope you maintain your health as that is the most important in our life!
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  10. Häagen-Dazs is my favorite ice cream, too! And Pineapple coconut is one of my favorite flavors, too! I also like coffee, vanilla, pistachio, green tea, rum raisin, etc. One time they had limited edition that included pear flavor. It was so good as well :-)

  11. Well I wouldn't turn down most ice creams. I have a gallon of dark chocholate with chocolate chips in my freezer as I comment. My favorite is probably Ben & Jerry's, Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Odd since I don't really like baked brownies all that much. And I'm a big simple vanilla and vanilla with caramel swirls as well of various brands.

You too look happy eating your ice creams!

    1. Dearest Debbie,
During the years that we still were active consultants, we often got the Ben & Jerry ice cream served, which was good. But they are becoming too political in their 'ice cream' and people should realize that!
When I was young(er) and way before my diabetes type 2 issue, I too loved the good plain vanilla!
      Hugs,
      Mariette

We are once again having nice sunny weather now Hurricane Michael has left the area. Still so much to be cleared away, things look unreal. We are fortunate for having no personal damage.

    https://mein-waldgarten.blogspot.com/2016/07/rosenliebhaberin-besucht-europa-rosarium.html

      Mariette

On October 17 I will post about my 1st part of a very special journey.
We just got out of the wrath of hurricane Michael and had no power for 19 hours, others still are out. No personal damage thank goodness, only 2 smaller trees down. Lots of green leaves all over, unreal sight! They got ripped off by the fierce winds, never heard anything like it.
      Hugs,
      Mariette
