4,000,000 Pageviews on my Humble Blog

It just so happened on December 23 that I was getting close to 4,000,000 Pageviews on my Humble Blog...
What an impressive figure of 3,999,999 around 21:00 o'clock!
Six minutes later it showed this 4,000,000
For whatever reason, my Pageviews for November and December were HIGH...
Not being tracked from my own browser!

For other bloggers that want to track their Pageviews—this Blogger Tip:
In Layout click on Add a Gadget
In Add a Gadget click on Blog's stats.
Mine is showing 'vague print' meaning it is already in use!

Thank You Visitors for Reading my Writing and Viewing here.

It also shows that original content is being appreciated!

Removed my BLOGLOVIN' Widget and Pageviews Soared!

Just because a dear blogger friend Ria from It's Me ←(click it) mentioned that my blog is no longer showing up on her Bloglovin'... That made me look at my sidebar and I found out my widget was SICK!
So, my widget is no longer on my sideline as I removed it at once.
On November 7, I noticed that my blog page views soared to 6,325!
AHA... 😡
So, I finally managed to log in and I proceeded to Remove my account.
STRANGE that it says it will not remove my blog from Bloglovin'

Anyway for me Bloglovin' is finito 😉
Did any of you have the same issues?

In Limburg with Friends

From Schiphol Airport, I traveled South to Limburg with two Friends that had come with the 5:43 NS Intercity to pick me up...
End station Horst–Sevenum and we're in the South of The Netherlands!
In less than two hours from Schiphol Airport to Horst–Sevenum by Intercity.
Travel by Rail is so relaxed!
Comparing to the hectic traffic and especially on a Monday.
Sure, my original plan was to arrive on Sunday... but some 3,000 flights got cancelled over that weekend.
My happy friend Ellie (friends for 57 years) and her daughter Elvira...
See links below post for reading about our very special relation with her.
This was on May 31 with 17°C or 62.6°F in Sevenum with a maximum of 18°C or 64°F
Yes, that was quite a cool–down for me; coming from Georgia/USA...
Elvira made us a yummy lunch on Wednesday, June 1.
She's a great Lady Chef
After our lunch at about 14:00, we did video WhatsApp with Pieter in Georgia/USA, who had just had breakfast at 8:00 in the morning.
Always great to see, and hear each other over the 8,000 km distance or 4,970 miles!
Pieter enjoyed talking with Elvira's boys.
The youngest, to the right of me, told Pieter that he had to carefully read all the notes...
They'd just overheard me reply to Elvira about her question what Pieter is eating all those days.
I told them that I'd hung sticky notes from the cabinets in the kitchen for each day for getting the meals together from the freezer and such.
Yes, I'd prepared a lot of food ahead of time!
Ellie's granddaughter Famke is into aerial fabric dancing!
Got to see her doing this LIVE.
Quite impressive and don't know if I could do that?!
Weather for the coming days would be lovely with on Saturday as high as 26°C or 78.8°F but on Sunday all rain...
Friend Sissy in her Tesla electric car, took Ellie and me around my home town and we even sat on a terrace in the sun, enjoying a cappuccino or tea.
Also ice cream with some fruit.
Indulging in those things from the past; for me at least, as I'm out of The Netherlands for 39 years.
Next day we met again with Sissy and Ellie + spouses...
Time for dinner at Restaurant De Kraal in Venlo.
My selection was Heilbot or Halibut in English
And for me also white asperges soup... It still is in season and in the USA we never find them.
My Halibut served over a bed of pasta with a lemon sauce and spinach.
Topped with a fresh Coriandrum sativum.
Edible flowers look beautiful... and yes, I ate them!
Sissy captured this photo of Ellie and me...
So grateful for happy time with friends!

To be continued...

By the way; my humble blog reached 3,500,000 pageviews!

{2,000,002 Pageviews on my Humble Blog}

It is always quite tricky for catching the right moment...
Well, on December 30, I was almost in time for capturing the 2,000,000 Pageviews.
On July 3, 2014 I did better by capturing the 999,999 Pageviews!
So about 2.5 years later, the next million views.
From November 2009, before I became paralyzed, I had a very slow start.

At the moment, barely finding the time to blog but still, I do get lots of pageviews!

Thanks for your visit!

{999,999 Pageviews on my Humble Blog}

On February 18, 2013 {Of Course I Missed THE Moment...} for trying to capture my SIX 4s or 444,444 Blog Pageviews. After that I, completely forgot about the SIX 5s; SIX 6s; SIX 7s; SIX 8s...
BUT I did it for the SIX 9s!
This was on June 25...
A little bit later, here I was not as nervous and did capture also the date; forgot to do that with my SIX 9s...!
It was on June 14, that I suddenly noticed a double digit repeat number of Pageviews for my blog... so I had to be alert for the coming weeks in order to catch the magic exit of he six digit number.
THANK YOU ALL for visiting my Humble Blog over the time of 4+ years now.
Forgot about blog birthdays too.

{Of Course I Missed THE Moment...}

It looked like quite a thrill, for having come up SIX 4s... BUT Of Course when trying to capture THE Moment, I Missed it while I was in the shower this morning! But I got some pretty close screen shot of it. Next round will be SIX 5s and who knows WHEN? You can see this gadget when scrolling down on my blog, just below my 189 Countries visited.
Still not bad for being only 5 Pageviews off...
At least I got my FIVE 4s JIT = Just In Time!

  • A BIG and sincere THANKS to all my readers, wherever you are!

When I started off I would never have dreamed of seeing such numbers on my screen...

  • That is because of YOU; not on my own merits.

Stay tuned for reading more about my travels and lifestyle.

  • I will write also about what I eat; promise.

BUT we need photos for doing any post!
Still in the progress of scanning slides etc., archiving our life...
Your replies to my previous posts have been heart warming!
LOVE to read them and hope you did mark the comment box for receiving my reply!
Have a great week ahead and stay healthy, warm and safe.

{2 Awards from Bloggers I Admire + Update}

Are you also behind on things? Not yet fully adapted to the fact that it is now officially autumn and only 12 weeks away from Christmas?!
A heartily welcome to my newest followers, hope you will make yourself here at home.
On September 23, I just managed to spot this funny number of 299,999... Just could grab its tail as of course time is racing on with everything.
But this is NOT what I wanted to write about. Instead, I got 2 awards from special blogger friends that I admire. On September 29, I did receive a cat award from dear Tammy from T's Daily Treasures (click). She is a girl of my heart as she writes so pure about her daily but meaningful treasures of life. Tammy does for sure not fall into the category of The Pretenders. Her blog followers have been growing steadily and she always has something of interest to share with her loyal readers. A pleasure visiting with her.

Another award I received on October 02, from a very talented blogger friend in Spain. Her name is Véronica from Nikavintage (click). Obviously she also first did receive this award herself and did pass it on to 15 others with this criteria: Give the award to fifteen blogs you think are worthy for their creativity and originality in writing, among other values.

For sure both ladies fall into this categorie of creativity and original content writing. No photos used from elsewhere on the Internet but just genuine moments of their own lives and life style. Please do give them a visit as they deserve it. Those two awards I will not pass on but those of you that write in the personal, creative and original style know that I mean to honor you as well.

The Future of Pro Blogging
For full article, click on above link!

There are two more special bloggers I admire and I will write about them next. Of course our Rose Suite will be revealed to you soon! Stay posted and I wish you a lovely autumn season, if you live in the northern hemisphere. And for the southern hemisphere a lovely spring time.

What is your thought about pretenders and those that constantly use material from the Internet, or worse from other bloggers; scraped content. For me it often feels like wasting my precious time. I'd rather connect with real people that live with real problems and struggles in this difficult time of recession. A joy it is for me to see so many talented women (hey, where are the men...?) out there who show us ways of re-purposing vintage things and creating romantic pieces for their homes. A few of them are selling it to others, while some just use it as an economical way of decorating their home. Also the cooking and baking at times is very refreshing to read and above all, to learn from.
See you soon!

{THANK YOU Readers from all 171 Countries Visiting!}

Today I want to extend a big 'THANK YOU Readers' from all 171 Countries visiting my blog. To the loyal readers and to all those that once in a while stop by. On July 10, 2011 I did put the Flag Counter on and as of now there are 171 flags in just one year time.
On July 4, it was Lesotho that joined as Newest Country and becoming number 171.
Reaching out to the world in all its Continents is quite something for this time and age.
A quarter of a million pageviews have traveled the miles across cyber space...
Visitors from the southern hemisphere where there is mid-winter right now.
The northern hemisphere with summer to some degree. More so for some, than others.
Here in the South East it is WARM during summer, we are at the latitude of Morocco, so that does explain some.
On July 1st we had a HOT day, measured in Real Feel temperature.
The entire month of July and August will be hot here.
But we prefer heat above cold.
What is your favorite?
This was the Real Feal of 45°C (113°F) at 13:38 o'clock.
But even at 16:19 o'clock on the last day of June we reached 44°C (111.2°F)...
Are you in a HOT-SPOT too?
Wishing you a great summer and hope you stay safe of any wild fires or other natural disaster.
Once again, THANK YOU!

{17th Blog Award & 169 Countries Visited}

From Nataša, who writes the blog smilje-art by heart from the city of Pančevo in Serbia, I got my 17th Blog Award. Thank you so much for passing that on to me! Nataša is a lawyer and she lives not too far away from Belgrade, on the beautiful river Danube. We love that part of the world, especially for its melancholic classical music. When I lived and worked in Italy, near Venice, I did train several women from the former Yugoslavia. So I'm not a complete stranger to that part of the world. We also traveled to Hungary a few times, which is on the same river Danube.
This lady bug is supposed to bring good fortune...
Glad that I'm feeling better and at least I got to mention Nataša as a courtesy, for thinking of me.
Wishing all blogger friends in Eastern Europe the very best and sending lots of love over to your area.
May you all continue to make beautiful hand craft and exchange your art and culture with the world.
So many people have no idea how other countries look like, how they live, what they eat, what they do for a living.
Nataša is a lawyer, without a job; life is not always easy over at her side of the world.
Thanks for visiting and for following. The world is big but through Internet and Blogger it is becoming small.
I am very much honored for having 407 followers and readers from 169 countries. On May 6, Gibraltar became the newest country.

It was July 10, 2011 that I put that flag counter on...
Thank you all very much!

To those that like to take this lady bug home; you are free to do so.

Wishing you a lovely Pentecost weekend and a Happy Memorial Day.
