- There are all sorts of vines but the Wisteria chinensis is a very vigorous one.
- You will see one picture of a 'MONSTER', which we had to cut down about six years ago.
- It had completely strangled the tree that it was climbing up on and we were afraid that the tree would die and topple...
- Needless to say that such a safety hazard is not wanted.
- But their blossoms are lovely and very fragrant as well.
- Join me for a garden tour from Book an Event ←(click it) with us.
- Above 3 photos are from our Wisteria chinensis that grows near the creek.
- Next I like to show you the one that got the death penalty... It was an untamable 'MONSTER'...
- You can see this Wisteria PILLAR and in the back you see the Azaleas that I posted {ENJOY Our White Azaleas} ←click it.
- This is a beautiful white Wisteria with very long trusses of highly fragrant flowers.
- And a pink one is climbing up the trees, that are near the creek in the back of our property.
- When those Wisteria chinensis are done blooming from the end of March till mid April, then we have in June this non-invasive Millettia Reticulata (Evergreen Wisteria) follow up!
- This one is available at Durio nursery.
Which one do you like most?

Hallo Mariette.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!
I love it.
Florentyna.
Hello Mariette,
ReplyDeleteoh my God, what a gorgeous Wisteria the monster is. I would forgive this plant every death by this wonderful flowers. So impressive. I have a Wisteria also, but we cut it very much and every year to avoid damage of our roof. I love all Wisteria and they are often used for beautiful art noveau decorations. I have never seen such a deep purple one as your last photo shows. I am always very fond of extraordinary colors.
Greetings, Johanna
I love everything. There are not many things that grow naturally in this country. I crave the sight of flowers and trees and grass galore! Our blue skies turned to gray with a bit of rain. Have a terrific Thursday. Tammy
ReplyDeletede laatste!!!!
ReplyDeleteLiefs,
Lynda

Beautiful that wisteria's. The white one is rather special and that chinise one I have never seen! Nature is a little bit earlier than with us in the south of France. My witeria has just some flowers in blossom. And of course whe have the mimosa in march and summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden you have, enjoy it,
love Janny.
Hi Mariette,
ReplyDeleteYour wisteria is amazing. Wow!
The picture on my webpage you asked about was taken in Romania.

Dear Friend,
ReplyDeleteWell the Wisteria looks beautiful and I love the light purple color but our neighbors Wisteria grew into our trees 2 years ago and strangled a few trees that had to be cut down. We did not see it till they bloomed. Wisteria can really take over in a hurry, but your Monster is really gorgeous. Your gardens are a fairyland.
thank you for stopping by and your well wishes. I am coming along, doing better each day.
Love to you,
Celestina Marie
