On March 15, our Bonfire Prunus Persica - Patio Peach, started budding. Husband Pieter did take it out of the greenhouse, where it till than remained sheltered from the weather. Below you see a photo from March 22...
Are these Bonfire Prunus Persica blossoms not lovely?
This is how those buds looked on March 15, just outside of the sheltered greenhouse.
Eager to fully open up!
On March 19, near the greenhouse which is to the left not visible and the pond to the right.
March 21, fully open and looking more white than pink...
This is in front of our Magnolia tree, to give the blossoms some contrast.
Only one day later on March 22, showing already more pink.
On March 24 we did put this pot in the front porch for more shelter against the frost...
Look how our tiles are covered with pollen, that is the season for now.
Closeup and there still remain some white ones, those that opened up latest.
Oh, the stamens do look like long eyelashes! I can only dream of having a peach tree. Peaches are one of my favorite treats. Very pretty blossoms. Wishing you a lovely weekend, Dear Mariette. hugs, xo Karen
Dearest Mariette; Lovely flower of peach tree♡♡♡ And I didn't know the color changes like that(^^;) How amazing! It is really good weather here today, have a wonderful weekend♬♬♬
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Dearest Miyako, A lot of blossoms do change like that as they mature. Wishing you a lovely weekend. We had a rainy day and more rain to come but Sunday is supposed to be sunny again. Hugs, Mariette
Dearest Jim, Oh that is so true and they are gorgeous, any fruit blossom. It will not be a tall tree but it will grow and that becomes each spring a showcase of pink blossoms. Happy weekend and hugs, Mariette
Enjoy your beautiful Prunus tree. I feel so sorry for you having to put them in a green house. Ours just stay in the ground all year. They certainly give a wonderful show. Hugs Kay
Dearest Kay, You bet we do and also the warmer weather! Oh, this will stay outside too but it got placed inside the greenhouse because of its many buds and to protect it from the harsh winds. They are happy in Georgia as this is called the Peach State! But this is not so much for a fruit bearing tree but more as ornamental. Hugs to you and happy weekend. Mariette
Dearest Mariette, What a pretty tree. I am so happy to see it survived the late frost! We have nothing in bloom yet. Even the daffodils are still shivering! Enjoy the week end...*s*
Dearest Suzi, This sure is a pretty ornamental patio peach. It tried its very best as a young tree! Let's hope you too will soon get a relief from the long winter. We got rain today but so glad the men finished the grouting yesterday so those tiles are done. Happy weekend anyway and sending you hugs. Mariette
What a sprig sight! These blossoms are gorgeous and we have just planted two prunus like your in our country garden. They grow without problem and are particularly beautiful in spring. Have a happy week end Mariette! Olympia
Dearest Olympia, This sure is a beautiful spring sight. Any peach is happy in our Georgia State and we have also a spectacular weeping peach out in the garden for years. Happy weekend to you and sending you hugs. Mariette
This is really gorgeous! Very unique looking...I love how they wrap the branches like this. And interesting the flowers change colors as they open. The pink color on March 24 is very pretty. What a lovely sign for spring. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Dearest Tamago, This species for sure took some intensive breeding for growing that vigorous its many blossoms. The branches are literally covered in them. The final pink color is a deep and beautiful pink indeed. Wishing you also a lovely weekend and some signs of springs to enjoy. Hugs, Mariette

So funny to see it blooming so beautifully and yet there are no leaves at all. Just branches with flowers. Very interesting! Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteDearest Tammy,
DeleteOh, most trees start out with blooms first and than they unfold their leaves.
It is a showcase and quite a joy.
