{Clerodendrum Philippinum - Cashmere Bouquet}

Right now we still do have lovely Fragrant Flowers from the Clerodendrum Philippinum - Cashmere Bouquet.
They do resemble tiny rosebuds!
Enjoy the following photos that husband Pieter took...
This is the foliage from the plant, which we keep in a planter box on the patio near the green house.
This exotic treasure we did find at +Logee's Greenhouses and it is best to plant this one in planter boxes as it can become quite invasive otherwise.
We did carry this exotic beauty to a birthday party, for a dear friend who is born in the Philippines... thought it is quite appropriate. It makes a very nice nosegay, on a glass jar with a cord or a linen string tied around.
Have you ever grown these Clerodendrum Philippinum - Cashmere Bouquet?

    1. Dearest Theresa,
Yes, they are all clustered on ONE stem, that is so good about being able to snip them off and put inside a small vase. Looks just lovely without the leaves.

    1. Dearest Kay,
When planted inside a container, you are fine, otherwise the root system keeps spreading and it is very invasive indeed!

    1. Beste Marianne,
Jazeker zijn ze kleiner, allemaal samen zijn ze amper de doorsnee van een gezonde pioenroos. Het lijken meer mini-roosjes in een boeketje.
      Liefs,
      Mariette

  7. Hello Mariette, A very unusual flower--I have one question: How large across is the central cluster?

    1. Dearest Jim,
One such central cluster is about 3-4 inches across and they are on one stem. Indeed resembling a perfect little nosegay of tiny roses! The foliage is huge but still these sweet fragrant flowers make up for that.
      Kindest regards,
      Mariette
