{Roses and Tea}

We did have some lovely looking roses in our garden. With the emphasis on 'looking' because for handling them they were not lovely! Very sharp thorns and thus rather prickly for arranging them inside this crystal Baccarat vase.
Looks lovely though; or not?
A healthy living snack... home baked almond cookies; my version of Amaretti cookies.
Tea and some fresh fruit.
You can see the many thorns on those stems!
Grapes are seedless...
Husband Pieter LOVES my home baked Amaretti cookies!
Sad thing is that Trader Joe's discontinued the Organic Coconut Sugar... Whole Foods Market does have it too, but they're far more expensive!
Are you also using the low glycemic index Coconut Sugar?

Yes, baking creates happiness and besides that, I love the smell of fresh baked goodies.

Thank you, we do try hard to have at least some beautiful roses and such.
The climate and the soil are not the very best for optimum growing conditions.

Your roses are always so beautiful; how fortunate you are to have them.
Thanks to you I am now using coconut sugar. I am trying, not always successfully, to get my blood sugar under control. Some say I am prediabetic, but my doctor says that saying you are prediabetic is like saying you are a little bit pregnant!
We had rain last week and expect a wonderful week end, which will be spent getting ready to replace the pool liner.
    Enjoy your week end..........*s*

Thank you and so far we have been lucky to see some healthy blooming roses on our property. It is tough though.
Yes, the coconut sugar is a great way for living healthier. Like your doctor's attitude and he's so right about it! Not only that but it will affect your kidneys and might lead to other major health issues. Once you get used to the coconut sugar and agave nectar, you will notice the differences.
We have not been home for 8 days so I can't tell if we got a lot of rain, it looked okay when we got home yesterday morning. Success replacing the pool liner!

  14. Your roses are beautiful! I forget they have thorns from time to time. Their beauty is very distracting, I guess. Your home baked cookies looks so yummy. Tea, fruit, and cookies, what a perfect combination!
I got coconut flour recently, for my kitties. Thought I'd try to bake something for them, and I can have whatever is left :-)

I've not yet used the coconut flour but will try that out soon as well. It is healthy and even for our kitties it is a lot better.
