Tea Time and Spring Flowers

One of the our daily highlights is having Afternoon Tea
Yesterday afternoon with fresh cut Fragrant Daffodils from our garden with fresh Camellias.
On my side table with the beautiful Hand Crocheted Lace topper.
A gift from dear Susan from the blog: Ava Grace's Closet and you ought to visit this sweet blogger friend!
My other dear blogger friend Celia M. High Heeled Life & Resilientista would very much approve of this Self Care Moment!
Healthy Living and Relaxing with Green Tea, Mixed unsalted Nuts, Seaweed (Costco) and Rice Cake from Whole Foods Market.
A close up of that healthy portion...
Believe it or not, two of our feline brothers LOVE each a piece of Seaweed and Bandido-boy also eats one or two Cashews!
In reply to blogger friend Jim from The Road to Parnassus I have added these photos from the type of Green Tea used...
Organic Green Tea
A Blend of Sencha & Matcha
My photos got taken with very dark weather so that's maybe the reason the tea looks strong...
Having fresh flowers is one thing but the lack of sunshine for good photography is often another!

Thanks for visiting!

    2. Hello again, Thanks for the update! It is a blend of Japanese green teas, and the matcha gives it that thick opaqueness. In Taiwan, the high-mountain green tea is a little different; a greenish-straw color and very clear. Both are good to drink! --Jim

    3. We've tried many varieties of green tea but this one with the matcha added I prefer!

The flowers bring us at least spring indoors and they make for a happy spirit.
My rice cake too is Tamari Seaweed... Oh our Bandido and his brother Spooky both LOVE it!

That, together with some hot tea is pure bliss
Yes, I do love green tea and in Japan I got to taste the real version of it as well. It is healthy!

Afternoon tea is a nice punctuation to the day.
I'm a little envious that you have daffodils. They aren't even in the stores yet.
We are stuck in the winter doldrums, but here's to sunny days ahead!............*s*

Well I have been posting but they just didn't show up in my FeedBurner for some mysterious reason... Since January 11 not. That's the day I started my mega project and did post about it.
Yes, we planted on purpose the early, mid and late season heirloom daffodils for having fragrance and a spread over the entire season. It makes one happy to have such perfume indoors!
Stay warm and cozy and healthy!

  10. Good Afternoon Mariette, I am sorry I have not visited for a little while, but we have been away on holiday and only recently returned. Jet lag does tend to take a little while to recover from.
I love your new header, although the photograph of your home always brought a smile to my face as it was so pretty.
We all need to take a leaf out of your book and take a little 'me time' as we can become so busy with everyday things, that we forget we need quiet time to rejuvinate ourselves.
Mariette, your lace tablecloth is beautiful. What a kind and generous gift.
    Have a lovely day.
    Best Wishes to you.

Thank you for your visit and glad you made it back safe and sound.
Yes, as we get older it also takes longer for getting back into the groove of daily life!
The header shows our very first garden flowers, the fragrant Paper Whites but they last so short as they dry out like paper. Chocolate kept me going like 'dope' while I was crocheting on my mega task (post from January 11 that did not show in the FeedBurner...).
Self Care like this is a good and healthy recipe for healthy living and the ingredients don't need to be pricey.
Indeed that gift of this lace like, oh so fine crochet work is so precious and meaningful.
      Hugs,

  17. This is a lovely tea that you have shared with us, Dear Mariette! Beautiful flowers on a gorgeous lace cloth with healthy snacks and tea make for a perfect little break from the cares of the world. I have not tried eating seaweed, but I have heard that it is perfect for the thyroid to add iodine without the harm of salt. I must look for this at my market. Would it be in the Asian food section? Thank you for sharing your quiet moment with us. Sending hugs xo Karen

Well, all of us need to have patience for seeing the first spring blossoms.
We're lucky here in the South! The magnolias started blooming on Mom's 2nd Birthday in heaven on the 27th of January and look beautiful now.
      Sending you hugs,
