10th Birthday Trader Joe's Midtown Atlanta

Today, April 17 of 2017 I did drive again to Atlanta and as usual we stopped first at Trader Joe's Midtown.
Lo and behold, they had their 10th Birthday today!
Before I knew it, I was told that my outfit did match their LEI, so they put one around my neck...
For driving the long distance I did wear my Nanette Lepore Floral Printed Leggings from Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th with an older Escada t-shirt.
Pieter took this photo of me outside the store, wearing my LEI...
Curious about the beginning of Trader Joe's, I looked up 'Our Story' (just click the pink hyperlink) and found out that it all started in the 50s... It is derived from the German ALDI.
Happy to have them but would love to have them closer to our area!

Got tired from the 3-hour drive back home.
Will visit you as soon as I can, two busy weeks ahead!

Thanks for your comments and visits.

  2. Leuk zulke grote winkels.Ik zou wel eens zo'n grote winkel willen zien met materialen voor creatieve spullen. Een mall heet dat toch?

  4. Hello Mariette, Looks like you made a nice addition to their celebration. I wish we had a Trader Joe's in Taipei--the one in Cleveland my family goes to all the time. We do have to brave crowded Chagrin Blvd., but after your horror stories of the Atlanta traffic, I'll try to be more forbearing.

  5. Lovely photo, dear Mariette! Indeed, your outfit matches with the colours of the Lei ( is this the name for the flower necklace? ). Lucky you! They could also give you a gift, lol! Many hugs!

  8. Oh Mariette, I must walk over to the west side to get to a Trader Joe's. I keep hoping for one to open on the east side of Manhattan, so I can buy more than what I can carry a long distance. Once on a while, I'll take my backpack over to buy 2 quarts of buttermilk and smaller items for half the price of a regular supermarket. I am lucky to have 3 well-stocked supermarkets within blocks of my apartment, not always true of all the neighborhoods here. I use the buttermilk to make homemade biscuits and layer cakes.

Lovely Nanette Lepore Floral Printed Leggings you're wearing. Love your hot pink top also!

  9. Lovely outfit you are wearing Mariette and how lucky of you to have matched their Lei.
Aldi has recently come to Perth, and they have great bargains, but we don't have Trader Joe's here.
    Have a lovely week.

  11. You look very pretty and tropical in LEI :-) Love your leggings. How nice you got to visit there on their 10th birthday! I remember stopping by Trader Joe's while in NYC. I didn't get anything because the line for checkout was unbelievably long! This store is very popular for sure. I wish we had one nearby, too!

  12. Fantastic , When we were staying at the San Remo in San Francisco, there was a Trader Joe's just down the street, and I use to love popping in for things.
    All the Best, Gordon.

  13. wow! Mariette in pink!Lovely.

Also aufgeben müßen.
      Lieber Gruß,
      Mariette
