Scenic Walk Hyatt Place Atlanta/Duluth/Johns Creek

When we both have to make our rounds in Atlanta, going to Costco Wholesale, Whole Foods Market  and Trader Joe's it is refreshing when we can start doing so from Atlanta.
So when I had to go to Macon, on March 23, for my regular check up at the Rheumatologist, we decided to drive the 1.5 hour from there to Atlanta. But boy, were we wrong. The traffic in and around Atlanta is so heavy that it takes you double that time!
A sunny but windy day and we went straight for the Scenic Walking Trail around the Community Lake, behind our Hyatt Place Atlanta/Duluth/Johns Creek hotel.
What a treat that was!
Such a tranquil lake to walk around, following the trail!
Looking back towards the hotel, on the left there is a generous sized gazebo.
We both love the Hyatt hotels, as they are for us a Home Away from Home!
It was windy so Pieter did wear a jacket and I put on my down puffer vest.
Walking like this feels so good after a long drive in the car!
Happy for being able to walk and also because it is almost nice spring weather.
It had gotten a bit nippy with the wind but still sunny.
I slept like a rose that night on the King size bed with down duvet and pillows.
Next day after breakfast I started out fresh!
My entire outfit is from Last Call by Neiman Marcus except for the 'Eleni' Wedge Sneakers which came from NORDSTROM with 50% discount.
They do have a zipper on the inside so you don't have to lace or buckle up!

Hope you also enjoy spring weather and walking in the outdoors.

Thanks for your visit.

  3. Dear Mariette
What a lovely afternoon you had spending time together in such a beautiful place.
I'm envious that you can wear that fashionable sneakers!Looks so comfortable!! I always wear flat sneakers especially after I had my ankle sprained 3 years ago!I can see you walking around the lake with smile.
    Happy day to you!

    1. Dearest Tomoko,
Those sneakers give the very best support. Soft all leather and they fit like a glove. The inside zipper makes them very easy to put on and off.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  5. First of all, what a gorgeous route to walk!

I love the black sneakers, which are so stylish. I need to buy a pair of sneakers, mostly to walk the city pavements. Although I seldom run, I like to own an all-in-one pair that lets me run if I ever need to do so. Have you tried running in those, Mariette?

No, I don't like to outrun Pieter so we just walk!

  6. Beautiful place to walk. The lake added to his charm. The weather was pleasant, so it was nice to be there. In addition, you probably had comfortable shoes. Regards.

  7. It's nice that the hotel has such a lovely green space and lake area to walk around. Not all places have that because everyone just wants to build without thinking of the outdoor aesthetics. There's often times when I think a bench or chairs, other than those they place for smokers, would be a good idea. And any little green plot certainly helps. Nice sometimes to just get away and have an overnighter. Thought traffic around Atlanta now after the fire is going to be even worse. Take care, Tammy (P.S. thanks for your visits and kind comments on my blog)

It looks great place to take a walk! I love your expression "slept like a rose" :-) Have a wonderful day, Mariette!
