  1. Hello Mariette, I just did some reading about Davos. Apparently, in addition to spectacular views and skiing, it also hosts conferences for the World Economic Forum, and formerly was a treatment center for TB--one of the patients was Robert Louis Stevenson.

    1. Dearest Jim,
Yes, you are right about Davos being a treatment center for TB as we learned that at school and got to see images of patients being lined up in beds.
The World Economic Forum got started about 8 years after Pieter went there.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

Yes, that sure is an excellent photo and it captured the heavy snowfall and the mountains well.

    1. Dearest Victor,
No, I've never traveled there... It was Pieter who gave some much appreciated advice in mushroom growing to his Swiss friends. In return, they let him stay at their 2nd home so he could enjoy skiing.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

    1. Dearest Martha Jane,
Most towns are build deep(er) down in the protected valleys.
It was quite a sight of winter beauty in that area, would have enjoyed that too.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  5. Oh my gosh Mariette, wonderful series of photos here and last post, Pieter was indeed a good photographer! The snow looks amazing, I'm still hoping to see snow this year in July. I do have a weakness for old black and white photos ✨

It was quite a load of snow too, that makes things look different.
Black and white photos do look great!

      Liefs,
      Mariette
