Kitty Tiggy Tiger brings her Writer Papi a PEN

On February 23, Tiggy–Tiger managed to find a pen for her writer Papi... Yep, she jumps on Papi's secretary desk and looks for one!
Searching on her Papi's secretary desk...
She did this all the time, even when we were in bed, loudly she came with her pen for Papi...
Since her Papi's passing she has not done this anymore!
May 14 Tiggy–Tiger batting her big mouse around...

  2. Dear Mariette, Tiggy is a beauty. Our loved pets do so miss their humans and it seems Tiggy knows that her Papi is not there to need a pen any more. Some pets do pass away from sorrow. I'm glad Tiggy is there for you and so very playful. Lynn and Precious XX

    1. Dearest Lynn and Precious,
She sure knows that as she watched him die... Tiggy sat in my office chair watching her Papi and her brother Spooky was there with him. Dogs often grief in a way that they don't eat and hardly live. But kitties also know!
She is now 17 years and 5 months and playful like a kitty, not her siblings.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

Yes, Tiggy was a dedicated and loyal girl and she understood things so well.
Had to rescue that very mouse yesterday with a long ruler, she's worked it under the oak wall unit and couldn't reach it anymore.

  10. Dearest Mariette; Oh My, I felt really moved to read this post. YES, Tiggy's Papi must be still in her mind, I wondered if she really missed her Daddy like us human beings as you said she hasn't done this. Please Take Care of yourself; Since I've lost my parents and brother, made me kind of remembered my true feeling for my family. Here is tiny old Japanese woman loving to have you a friend. Lot's of LOVE, Miyako

Thank you and yes she is extremely smart. When in the dark she walks into the bedroom and I ask who is there, she always talks back so I know.
She has almost a birdlike, happy chirping voice and that is only her doing this. The others talk but not the same way.

  17. What a touching story!
It's incredible how our furry friends have such unique ways of showing their love and understanding. It sounds like Tiggy-Tiger had a special bond with her Papi, always bringing him a pen as if she knew it was important for his writing.
It's bittersweet to hear she no longer does this since his passing — a sign of how deeply animals can feel loss too.
May Tiggy-Tiger find comfort in her own little ways, like batting her big mouse around.

    Hugs and blessings, dearest Mariette

Yes, it sure is as they are so synchronized with their humans and know everything.
Tiggy–Tiger sure did grief, as did her brother and sister and she did not search for a pen since Pieter's passing.
So happy she plays with her toys and that is a good sign.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

How much they loved their Papi and knew everything what was going on in our home and yes, they do grief! They now are leaning onto me... Tiggy is a senior wtih 17 years and 5 months now but still rather playful.

  19. I read through some previous posts, and got some good education about mushrooms...Now I w=know what to look for at the store...and I giggled and giggled at the big butt and the wee butt...kind of like a daddy and his wee son, LOL, LOL!! And it made a cute beret for your Dad!!
That was some humongous mushroom, and also what a most tantalizing big cauliflower. I enjoyed the country sounds with the chickens, and crowing rooster. I often roast cauliflower, but that one might have needed two baking sheets!
Tiggy Tiger is a sweetheart, and she sure took her time to go after the mouse, but then she really had fun with ut. She's a smart kitty with much wisdom and feelings for her Papi, so that now the pen stays on the desk...

Glad you enjoyed the butt and the cauliflower grown by my Dad! Yes, he knew how to.
Tiggy is a love bug and super smart. All kitties know exactly how you are feeling and what is going on and they sure loved their Papi, they had a very special bond and all three did grief about him. Now they're even closer to me and we support each other.

Tiggy Tiger always has been a master in finding them! In the kitchen, Pieter had some note blocks on the windowsill and a pen for shopping notes. Often that pen got taken by her and brought to the bedroom or into hallway. We always had to watch out for not 'rolling' over one...
