{Our Fragrant Double Narcissus bloom!}


The weather has been so perfect all week! We walked in our bermudas around the pond at our local hospital where our fitness center is. This was wonderful doing so after we worked out on the machines; instead of using the treadmill.
So uplifting to see the Japanese magnolias in bloom and other trees. In our garden the {Fragrant Double Narcissus Obdam} (< click to see previous blog) bloom again.

Nice spring display on a Le Jacquard Français towel from Gerardmer, France with daffodils. We had a French exchange group in March 2005 and one of the chaperones stayed with us and gave us a present from her region.

For a dear friend who had her birthday today I'd baked last night Amaretti cookies in heart shape and also made chocolate hearts. This is just a sampler...
Today was also Mom & Dad's 62nd wedding anniversary! We did talk to them by phone.

    In Bermuda's mariette?!??!?!? Ik geloof mn ogen niet!!!!!! De rillingen lopen over mn rug alleen al bij het LEZEN ;))))

    was für ein traumhaftes Wetter ihr haben müsst! Und dazu passen die sonnigen Farben deines Posts natürlich hervorragend! Sorry, dass ich mich ertst jetzt wieder bei dir melde: Ab Donnerstag-Spätabends war mein Internet "tot" und von Freitag bis heute haben wir uns ein "verlängertes Wochenende" in den Bergen gegönnt (auch sonnig, aber nicht so warm wie bei euch: 4 Grad Celsius - doch immerhin endlich wieder Plusgrade!). Aber jetzt sind wir wieder daheim und mein Mann hat den Internet Fehler entdeckt...

    So meine liebe Mariette, nun muss ich aber ganz dringend und unbedingt bei Dir vorbei schauen. Leider hatte ich fast kaum Zeit hier unterwegs zu sein und somit sind viele liebe Bloggerinnen, wie Du auch, leider zu kurz gekommen!! Bitte entschuldige dafür!!
    Wie ich sehe ist bei Euch aber schon schönster Frühling und diese Narzissensorte sieht einfach fantastisch aus. Duftet sie auch? Ich meine ja!!! Auch das Porzellan passt klasse dazu, vorallem auch mit dem leckeren Gebäck!!

    Wow, I don't think I have ever seen these double lovelies before. The color is perfectly pretty too, Mariette. I love your table scape, it's very inviting and Spring-like!

    Liebe Mariette, Du hast mich nach dem Schloss gefragt, um welches ich so gerne "Lustwandele". Es steht in Schwerin/Deutschland -Hauptstadt des Bundeslandes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Eine 850 Jahre alte Stadt und immer eine Reise wert ;-)

    Dear Mariette,

    the daffodils looks absolutely beautiful, I love their double look and the bright yellow-white. We have many daffodils in our small garden too but they are not ready at this time. Maybe in 3 od 4 weeks I can show them.
    I love porcelain and your plates are very sweet and so much spring.
    Today it is rainy and cold and dark - I want to have better weather tomorrow.

    Nou, loop ik nog niet rond in de bermuda brrr. Maar ik heb vandaag na het werk wel lekker in de zon gezeten met vest aan;-)
    De mooie foto's doen mij gelijk aan pasen denken met de narcissen en het mooie servies.
