{Our Gardenia duruma - White Gem}


  • As usual, it is hard to keep up with posting recent photos of everything blooming in our huge garden. On May 6, these photos were taken by Pieter and I certainly want to show you our highly fragrant Gardenia duruma White Gem. You can obtain them as 2 gallon pots here.

    Hi Mariette, you brought me memories of my childhood. In the garden. a tiny space 'of the front of the house my grandmother had gardenias and I always sat in the balcony and the smell was intoxicating us', smell me back in time and mentally I hubica in time and space, beautiful flowers!     Oh, very beautiful white Gardenia!!!

    In Japan, a famous actor has a song named after this flower.
    It is a lovely romantic song.

    Hello Mariette,

    These flowers are realy beautiful, like a bridelbouquet! And I think they have a lovely fragrance? The petals have such a specially colour, it is not white but creamywhite and the petals are very strong, it 's like porcelaine.

    Dear Mariette,
    you always amazes me with your gorgeous plants. Can you believe that I never saw such a plain Gardenia before. All Gardenias, I know, are with lots of petals, filled like a rose. This Gardenia look so clean and like fine china. And I imagine the heavy scent.

    Dear Mariette, I just can´t express my thoughts in english but please tell Pieter that reading his story has changed my idea of all those brave young boys that have died for the freedom of other people...before I just saw meaningless death but now I do understand....
