We had no idea, that our Georgia Congressman, the Honorable J. Roy Rowland had a special U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol for both of us, on December 30 of 1993.
This on the occasion of our U.S. Citizenship.

ReplyDeleteHello Mariette, Citizenship is an occasion that deserves such special attention and commemoration. The spellings of your names remind me of stories of Ellis Island and long ago immigration officials who arbitrarily truncated, re-spelled or just plain changed foreign names that they could not cope with. (Even today, languages are not Americans' special forte.)
