{Table Setting for Friends}

Saturday evening, we had a dinner for six friends at our home. Just like to share with you my table setting. From husband Pieter, I had a dozen white roses and in our garden we just found enough Fragrant double Obdam narcissus for putting in the individual Delft white picture frames, as a place setting. We had heavy rain on Saturday but inside it was cozy.
  • Real Wax Carved Rose tea lights (battery operated Flameless Candles) in white, when lit they look yellowish.
  • White ceramic roses as center piece, together with the Baccarat Harcourt pitcher with real white roses.
  • You can see this Baccarat Harcourt pitcher in a previous post, see link below.

  • Gumbo Soup spoon is Bridal Rose by Alvin and other flatware is my Gero Zilmeta 528 Menuet.
  • Baccarat Piccadilly stemware.
  • French Pillivuyt charger...
  • Le Jacquard Français tablecloth. 

  • Table got set for 8 of us.
  • Before I placed a fork to the left of this plate, I took the photo... 
  • Don't you like to have cozy dinners with friends when the weather is cold, windy and rainy?

    WOW.....lieve Mariette....jij kan als goede gastvrouw voor de dag komen met zulk een sfeervol en sjiek gedekte tafel.
    Het kan niet anders dan een heerlijke avond voor jullie vrienden geweest zijn,letterlijk en figuurlijk.

    Look who's talking...wish I was sitting at that gorgeous table. The menu sounds fabulous...I WANNA GO THEREEEE!!!!!!!!!, lol..Love the pretty roses and the white china too. Lucky friends. These set of stems are French, but not Bacarat..we have a huge set from my in law's, antique, etched and Bacarat..it was our wedding gift, it even has etchings to them. They came from my Fil's family, originally. Thank you lovely friend for the sweet wishes too. Big hugs,

    Mariette, your table setting is so gorgeous and elegant!! I love the decoration with roses very much. The rose tea lights makes table very romantic! Your friends must have been very impressed, too!!

    What a beautiful, elegant table setting. I love the way you mix and match your silver patterns. This could work very well as a setting for and intimate dinner for two. You've made me realize I could mix my grandmother's simple plate with my elaborate silver.

    Hè dat ziet er sfeervol uit, ja gezellig als het buiten vies weer is, gezellig samen dineren, maar dat vind ik op een zomeravond ook heerlijk. Prachtige rozen heb je uit de tuin!
