{Our now WHITE Barlow Tyrie Capri Lounger with Wheels}

On Tuesday, July 23 of 1996 we got this teak Barlow Tyrie Capri Lounger delivered, complete with cushion. It served us well, all those years but last year we had it professionally painted WHITE, together with the teak round table.
Yes, we still support the color 'Orange' being Dutch by birth and American by choice!
We found this umbrella with stand at Tuesday Morning and the stand got painted green, like our outdoor shutters.
We love the round teak table and the Capri Lounger being painted white.
This is how our Barlow Tyrie Capri Lounger with wheels used to be...
The Italian CERDOMUS ceramiche tiles are being put on last year by husband Pieter.
The entire balusters and railing are from Vintage Woodworks in Polyurethane, reinforced with aluminum. In late summer they too got professionally painted. They will last a lifetime!
Not bad for an 18-year old Barlow Tyrie Capri Lounger; don't you think?

    Beautiful deck to spend time and the pieces look great in white...and holding up like a trooper, because it's owners are on the slender side, lol!! I love your lawn, it's so pretty and shaved.

      Thank you and haha, we are sure not overweight and yes, that does make a difference for sure!
      Our grass looks so unreal and perfect green with almost daily rain this summer. We sure enjoy our garden and home.

      Grazie cara Paola, ma un giardino enorme come quello e anche la casa prendono un sacco di lavoro. Ma ci piaccia e ci stiamo quasi interamente raggiunto nuovamente così questo balcone ci servirà bene.

    That's a very lovely lounger. Looks like new and on those tiles, white looks so bright and lovely! I'd love to have lounger but our deck is too small for it. Maybe someday if we ever move :-)

      It is a lovely lounger on a great balcony.
      In Italy we did have two balconies but no space for any lounger... In Pennsylvania we had nothing, only at our previous home here in Dublin, Pieter did build us a tiled patio, half covered.

      We both love the white version of it; after 17 years of natural teak color it is quite a change.

    hätte ich nicht gedacht dass die Liege schon 18 Jahre alt ist. Sie sieht wudnerbar aus in weiss mit dem passenden Tisch. Das farb-i-tüfpelchen ist natürlich der orange Schirm.

      Doch die Liege ist schon 18 Jahre und damit sieht man wieder dass es sich immer lohnt um Qualität zu kaufen. Pro Jahr ist es immerhin billig wenn man es umrechnet.
      Ja, der orange Schirm war auch der einzige kleine den es gab aber für uns hat es noch Bedeutung diese Farbe und passt auch sonnig dazu.

      Ja, het is werkelijk mooi maar we hebben helaas geen kaboutertjes die al het werk voor ons doen. Dus dat vakantiegevoel is beperkt; vaak ben je ook moe, met name in de zomermaanden valt het werken niet mee. Maar we redden het nog met ons beidjes!

    Your teak lounger and table have served you well, and now look just as good as new on your pretty balcony! I love your railings and the orange umbrella gives it all a nice pop of color. It's always nice to take care of the things we already have and try to make them last as long as possible. Teak is a wonderful wood.       Eighteen years is already a great service and since they got painted they look incredible for lots more years of use. Yes, preventive maintenance always pays off and so does waiting to get quality pieces that last and last.
      It is a very dark and cloudy day with a pregnant sky but hopefully next week we will have some balcony days again!

      Ja, die tijd gaat beslist binnenkort weer komen, kan nog een maand of drie hier of mogelijk nog langer.
