Our old Umbrella Pole from the balcony got Recycled into a Bird Feeder Post...
Here it is...
Closeup
The feeder is holding suet blocks on the side...
Even though the squirrels benefit most from all the bird seeds and suet!
As you can see here; completely empty and being plundered by the squirrels...
Whenever I take photos, our felines go with me...
Barty showing to the right of the feeder; Spooky on the platform below the steps and Tiggy-Tiger to the left in front of that planter near the gazebo.
Loved the light around 6:30 PM in which our gazebo is being shown here...
All those huge trees make our garden a bird's paradise!
{Our Balcony} | previous post by me showing the umbrella pole on our balcony... till Christmas 1998!
nice re-use!

Trees do give a wonderful atmosphere. I think your bird stand is wonderful. It just looks right with the feeder on top.
ReplyDeleteHugs Kay
Dearest Kay,
DeleteIndeed, trees create a very special atmosphere. Just today, Pieter had to cut back some oak tree branches that totally hid our lantern with post. Now it is visible again. With so much rain, things have been growing like crazy this summer.
Thank you for your kind words.
Hugs,
Mariette

Wow what a great idea to recycle umbrella pole into bird feeder! Never thought about it. That is really clever! And looking very natural and lovely. Birds (and squirrels!) must love it!
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are so cute accompanying you for photo shoot. My Goro is always around us, too :-)
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteThank you, it was a super idea from Pieter to use it for this feeder!
Guess our kitties act more like little doggies with their following us... They are sweet and we love all our animals; pets and garden critters!
Hugs,
Mariette

Liefs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,

Oh, how wonderful to have a bird feeder for your fantastic garden. And also with the wonderful idea of recycling with the old umbrella♡♡♡ Now I can be Looking forward to seeing the cute birdies visiting your beautiful garden, can't I♪♪♪
ReplyDeleteOh, it must be sweet feeling your loving kitties following you(*^_^*)
I hope you will have a wonderful weekend, my Dear Mariette;
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Dearest Miyako,
DeleteOh, we can observe many birds from our table seat during breakfast, lunch or supper. That is a joy! For making photos you have to be outside and wait for a long time with camera on tripod... Not that easy.
Our kitties behave more like little doggies, they follow us always. Very loyal pets.
Happy weekend to you as well.
Hugs,
Mariette
OH yes!
ReplyDeleteI am sure this is paradise for your birds, Mariette!
You feeder is super!
Only, I bet it will soon become too small! Hahaha!!
All the birds in the area will come to your magnificent garden!!
Well done!!
Enjoy your sunday!
Dearest Noushka,
DeleteThank you and yes, it is either too small or not enough food as we need to add and add... Squirrels are the cause for that and we think that indeed the neighborhood birds flock to our feeders.
Enjoy your Sunday as well, we have a dreary looking Saturday...
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette ... this is such a creative idea. Thank you for the inspiration ... hugs, Celia M. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteDearest Celia,
DeleteThank you, we always have to think twice especially when dealing with a huge garden like yours and ours...
Hugs,
Mariette
Lieve groetjes,
Mariette
