For the summer our Fiberglass Window Boxes got filled with Vinca Extreme White from The Home Depot.

Are they not lovely?
Even our shortened Post Lantern looks nice with it.
We used to have it stand to the left but the Magnolia tree and Indian Hawtorn grew big; hiding it!

That is the newly added wall as part of the water control project. Looks great in the Benjamin Moore Golden Mist exterior paint color.

What a precious find at Home Depot!

Ma chère Edith,
DeleteOui cettes fleurs blanches sont très beau.
Bonne fin de semaine et bisous,
Mariette
I love white in a garden. Vinca's are so hardy as well. Although I mainly plant petunias. I must think about Vinca perhaps next summer.
ReplyDeleteHugs Kay
Dearest Kay,
DeleteWhite is always perfect in any garden and especially with our Golden Mist exterior paint it goes so nicely. We still have petunias in the window boxes on our bay window but they don't look too happy during July and August. These Vincas sure can handle the heat far better!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteThe vinca look lovely in white boxes. They seem to be able to rise to too much heat and other extreme conditions with few problems!
White was non-existent up here so I went with pink this year! Impatiens were hit with a nasty fungus this year. I have a few but not the numbers and varieties I've had in years past. Are they headaches or just what happens with gardening?
Enjoy the week-end......*s*
Dearest Suzi,
DeleteOur white Vincas have been by far the best we've had in our planter boxes and I never had seen these before... Impatients are suppose to be heat tolerant as well, they even grew in the tropics in Indonesia as a native flower alongside the road. But like humans, plants too can become vulnerable to any disease and certain strains are less tolerant. Sad but that's how we often do a lot of work in vain...
Happy weekend to you!
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette, your Vinca white flowers are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe have here in different colours too!Hope you have a relaxing weekend!
A BIG HUG!!
Dimi...
Dearest Dimi,
DeleteVinca flowers are in general very strong perennials but we don't know if these would last too...? Wishing you a lovely weekend.
Sending you love and hugs,
Mariette
Liebe Mariette,
Schau mal hier in meinem Post von 28. Januar wo ich zuerst das Bild von diese Gartenlampe zeigte wenn sie noch in völlige Länge da stand und grün. Clicke hier mal: {Retainer Wall Extension for Water Control}

Your Vinca Extreme White flowers are so pretty! Love the close-up photo very much.
ReplyDeleteThe wall looks very nice, too, with the golden mist color. Beautiful addition for water control!
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteLove the clos-up too as it shows that nice yellow center which makes them very special.
We sure enjoy this part on the driveway and so do our felines as they often sit on this wall.
Hugs,
Mariette
Very nice
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo-Anne!
DeleteHugs and happy new week.
Mariette
Pretty. My husband built shelter for my plants and I actually have some pretty little flowers blooming that normally can't take the harsh summer heat. :) Have a super Sunday. Tammy
ReplyDeleteDearest Tammy,
DeleteSo happy to read that your husband built you a plant shelter! Even a shade net would make quite a difference for those tender plants that get burned up from the direct sun.
We did have a lovely Sunday; can't believe another week passed.
Hugs,
Mariette
Liebe Mariette,

What an amazing garden you have dear Mariette. You impress me with all your lovely shots of the flowers- and no exception today - those whites are so beautiful. You take great pictures by the way - show them in all their glory:-) Hugs to you for spreading the joy
ReplyDeleteDearest Eli,
DeleteIndeed flowers can give us so much joy and why not share it?
Thank you for your kind words and it is a pleasure taking those photos.
Hugs and happy new week.
Mariette
Mariette
Prachtige gevulde bakken. Ik hou van wit.
ReplyDeleteFijne dag, lieve groet
Beste Willy,
Mariette
