{Empire State Building New York City}

On August 29, 2015 we both did walk from our Hyatt Place New York/Midtown-South to 33rd St. for a close view of the Empire State Building in New York City.
Oh my, bending backwards for trying to capture all 102 stories of this world famous sky scraper is hard!
It is 1,454 feet or 443 meters tall!
It is really incredible such a height!
On May 1st in 1931 it got officially opened...
The day before, we already had viewed it from Madison Square Park...
All the way from the corner of 5th Avenue and E 26th at Madison Square Park I tried to zoom in a bit.
This photo is taken from the corner of Liberty Street and Nassau Street with a great view of the Empire State Building.

    Those are all beautiful shots of the Empire State Building. My two daughters took me to NY during the Christmas holidays for my 65th. I finally got to tour that wonderful old building.

    Have always loved seeing the Empire State Building - must be lovely going to the top as imagine the view spectacular. Did you go to the top? the Metropolis building in Auckland was modelled a little after this.

    i enjoyed my visit to new york city many years ago and my viewing from the empire state building deck. i actually ran into a lady i knew from my home town right there in the elevator lobby thousands of miles away from where we grew up or where we lived then.
