  3. Hi, Mariette. Honor whom they deserve, and be remembered with all pleasure. So many lives, so many that have been mown for the sake of freedom. That as you say, it has had a very high cost.
Honor each and every one of them.
A greeting and hugs, rose M.

  7. Hello Mariette, You present an important point. We were just discussing how hard people have fought for freedom of all type, but how willing everyone is to give up their private freedoms in exchange for internet services, which have become a monstrous personal information collecting device.

  9. Dear Mariette. That is so true. I often send warm thoughts to the people before us- ... some of them fought hard- for the freedom we have today. Personally freedom means so much to me, on so many levels. We should never take it for granted. Lovely post my sweet friend. Lots of love to you.

  11. Hello Mariette,
I wish that were true but we are loosing our freedom bit by bit everyday and what's happening in Europe and other countries is no stranger to this fact. What better pretext to suppress population's freedom?...
Now we can't take our laptops on the plane to and from the US.... what's next??
I hop you are well, warm hugs :)

  12. Just walking into these cemeteries brings home the huge numbers of our population that has been lost to war.

  15. What a beautiful post, ma chère Mariette. Freedom is never free and must be repurchased from time to time by blood, sweat and tears. Is it too much to hope that the younger generation can appreciate what a wonderful gift they have been given w/out asking them to pay the price? I hope so.

    Gros bisous, M-T
