Easy Oven Baked Taco Recipe

On certain days we need to be able to make a quick and easy meal. This can also be prepared ahead of time so you only need to do the baking in the oven and serve a meal!
On August 2, I did think about making a photo once they came out of the oven!
I did use ready made Trader Joe's Taco Shells (box) from yellow corn.
Also the 90% lean ground beef I got at Trader Joe's.
The recipe you can find here: Oven Baked Tacos just click.
I've also found it real easy for using just red beans and did run them through my small Braun blender.
Yeah on July 19, I'd taken this photo but forgot to take one when they came out of the oven...
These are the ones from August 2nd before they went into the oven...
Next time, I have these Stainless Steel Taco Holders for easier filling.
Found them on Amazon....
First time using them and they work fabulous!
Just a listing of the main ingredients...
Great when served with a salad on the side!
Preheat oven on 375℉ and bake for 15 minutes.
For making your own Taco Seasoning...

From a dear blogger friend, I got in the comments a great tip to make your own Taco Seasoning: DIY Taco Seasoning Plus 8 Others - just click on link to go to her post!

Thank you for your visit!

  2. Hello Mariette, Where would be be without our go-to meals? In these hot days my favorite is sesame (cold) noodles, which can be as simple or elaborate as you like. It is soothing to eat something cool when the weather is warm.

    1. Dearest Jim,
Yes, we all have a kind of list with special meals for certain seasons.
Your cold sesame noodles would be a favorite for me and very healthy as well!
We are now getting slowly into the season where a hot meal is appreciated again.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

    1. Dearest Tammy,
Anxious to hear about your Portobello Taco experience. If those Portobello mushrooms are firm and fresh they no doubt are good. Not if they are very mushy and with dark (old) spores...
Yes, all is well with us, only rather hectic. We just got back from our trip to the Rocky Mountains and I'm tutoring a student at our Technical College...

  4. They look delicious - I have not made tacos for ages, but you have now reminded me to give them a try again. Many in my family are vegetarian so they make a good choice when making a meal suitable for all by simply varying the fillings.

    1. Dearest Rosemary,
Indeed, you are able to adapt the fillings by using a meat substitute. To me it is just a practical and healthy meal to prepare.

Sure, when you write about Burritos and Mexican food in general, I do fondly remember our times working in Mexico where we always enjoyed their food!

    1. Dearest Krishna,
So far I've not even used my new stand and it still worked. They easily slide 'flat' but other than that it is no problem!
We all are not professionals that serve at a Michelin star restaurant so it is not 'that' important!

  11. I should also mention that I make my own easy taco mix: https://thesavvvyshopper.blogspot.com/search?q=taco+

As well as Cajun and Greek. Latey I leave out the salt when making the mixes (which is needed). The reason I omit salt is I can adjust the amount of salt to a recipe by adding it separately and no longer worry about oversalting when adding lots of spice to a particularly dish.

    1. Dearest Debbie,
Thank you so very much for your link to some great Taco spice to make your own!
I've added it to my blogpost already.
Due to my advanced CKD I have to omit the salt so I love to experiment with spices.
      Hugs,
      Mariette
