Hyatt House Miami

Even on a rainy day, we always do enjoy our stay at the Hyatt House in Miami, Florida.
This was on our walk around the hotel, after a rainy day.
It is close to 8:00 PM but feeling so fresh along the water.
The light looked almost magical...
These Muscovy ducks with ducklings were quite happy with all the rain, they live alongside the water.
There is lots of water, aside from the canal that runs behind the Hyatt House on Blue Lagoon Drive, Miami.
But there are other critters that are NOT that friendly!
Such a beautiful end of the day...
Quite refreshing after such a day with rain and more rain!
In our complete kitchen we had made a simple supper with beef tenderloin from Whole Foods Market, baked in butter with potatoes in the skin and some broccolette aka broccolini.
Next day we had a turkey burger with fresh salad...
Using our favorite Trader Joe's Orange Muscat Champagne Vinegar...
Of course we also did visit with our dear friends in Miami!

Thanks for your visit and comment.

  1. Hello Mariette, I often used to go to Miami for business or to visit family. There is so much to do and see there, from local attractions like Vizcaya (historic house) to short trips to Palm Beach or the Keys. Also lots of good food--eating in or out, you couldn't go wrong.

    1. Dearest Jim,
You are right, things to do and see in the Miami vicinity are endless!
We have been going there for over 30 years, also for a reason to visit friends.
It is tricky however for having nice weather, with the hurricane season affecting this area.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

It is a very quiet and beautiful area with wildlife right there, not that I like to see any alligators...

Yeah, it is beautiful nature but so far we've never had any problems with the alligators or snakes.
You probably don't have any of those reptiles in Finland...

We have not yet had real autumn weather here in Georgia, still warm and sunny.
Yeah, our first encounter a couple of years ago with those funny looking Muscovy ducks was rather special.
      Walking here is very nice.

Yes, you are right the scenery is always very interesting and not a lot of traffic.
As long as you use common sense, the alligators and snakes would not bother you!

The complete kitchen makes it more a home away from home feeling. You also can opt for 2 bedroom suites, with the kitchen and living room central.
Yeah, Trader Joe's got us hooked and we share it also with friends.

  11. Beautiful pictures. I have yet to visit Miami Florida. My husband's family live in Jupiter and Palm beach county. When we visit, it's there or Palatka where friends live. Your meals look wonderful and tasty. Love the looks of that water. Such pretty water shots.
Orange Muscat Champagne vinegar will be on my list of purchases.

Well, visiting family will most often absorb all of your time and quite often we don't get to do the things we would love to visit or see...
Simple meals as we don't have everything at hand there but it is nice for being able to cook or bake a meal and for staying in.
That special vinegar is really excellent!
      Hugs,

For whatever meal or in-between, a kitchen added to your room makes all the difference.
Even better for when traveling with more people as you can add more bedrooms to your suite. Great for kids as well and they also do offer laundry services, where you can use their washer and dryer.
      Hugs,

  13. Beneidenswert, liebe Mariette. So schöne Bilder!
