Visiting Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia with Dad

On Tuesday afternoon, November 27 of 1990, we went with Dad to Warner Robins Airforce Museum.
As you clearly can see, we had a lovely, sunny day on November 27!
Dad loved reading all the information about the exhibited planes.
This Aviation Museum has been open to the public since 1984.
Next month The Museum of Aviation 35th Anniversary Celebration  (click on link).
Both, Pieter and I have been to the Museum of Aviation numerous times with our guests but it remains a very interesting place to go to!
It looks like Dad is shooting me in this picture...
Dad recognized several planes that he knew from WWII
Photo opportunity enough!
Dad really had a ball!

Hope you enjoyed some of the photos of this magnificent Museum of Aviation.

  3. Hello Mariette, It is fascinating to see the old planes. Ohio is steeped in aviation history, as the Wright brothers came from Dayton. In Cleveland, there is the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, which has a number of interesting early airplanes, including some made in Ohio.

    1. Dearest Jim,
Indeed, the Wright brothers called Ohio home!
Even though Warner Robins is mainly Air Force oriented, both are equally interesting no doubt.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

    1. Dearest Tamago,
Yes, it was and still remains a very interesting museum.
Dad was delighted for being able to study the ones he recognized from the WWII era.
They also got a flight simulator in which I spent some time when we had the Japanese teens from our sister city visiting Dublin, GA!

    2. Dein Vater konnte sich glücklich schätzen, so eine gesunde und robuste Tochter zu haben, die ihn nicht enttäuschte! Leider ist das nicht jedem gegeben. Manche Menschen scheinen in besonderer Weise gesegnet.
