That's why he captured me and in return I captured him in his tweed jacket with leather elbow patches.

ReplyDeleteNo, I don't own any leather coats or other clothing, nor do I wear hats or caps--any I've tried are quite unflattering on me. I WILL wear a sun hat in the summertime if I'm out for any length of time, I think it's a man's hat. (I must have a large head!)

Hello Mariette, I have never owned a leather jacket--they seem too warm for pleasant weather, and not warm enough for really cold weather. Also, I do not know if I am the type to wear one.

A beautiful woman and a handsome model ;-)) I get sick of the smell of leather, (takes a breath, and my face swells, itchy pimples). We can't have anything where there is leather. I also have to leave the room if someone has leather clothing on. A leather sofa also causes symptoms. Awkward, but fortunately leather products have not shown much.

Staat je leuk die pet en jas. In de jaren zeventig heb ik zo'n pet zelf gemaakt. Ik droeg toen ook een korte suede jas van mijn moeder en een heren overhemd van mijn vader. Ik heb wel een leren jas gehad, maar nu niet meer. Fijn dat je de winterspullen al weer op kunt ruimen. Ik wacht er hier nog even mee.

DeleteDank je en het is ook een heel zacht leren jas, draagt heerlijk. Nooit het patroon gehad voor zo'n pet maar dat kan inderdaad best zelf gemaakt. Heb nog drie leren jassen, deze lange, een heel zachte en dunne korte en nog een dikkere, die tot de heup reikt. Daar kun je heel dikke truien onder dragen omdat de armsgaten heel ruim zijn.
Ja, van daag wordt het 32°C dus echt geen winterspullen meer nodig!

Our winter is so mild Mariette there isn't much need for coats. I have one coat in my wardrobe which I only wore once last year! Although they do look very smart I probably wouldn't choose real leather for a coat anyway ✨

DeleteOur latitude differs only 0.5° with Perth so our winters are rather mild too.
We have our winter outfits mostly for the traveling period, which of course now is minimal since we no longer are international consultants.
For rare cases when we have the very cold arctic wind blowing south from Canada, we too are prepared...
