Hello Mariette, I'm not sure that I agree with that quote, other than in the sense it is saying good equals good. I find the simplicity part especially problematic. For example, you and Pieter have spent your lives discovering the special and complicated needs of growing mushrooms, and the best ways to create compost, nurture the mushrooms, harvest them, and so forth. We can look at the end result and say that it is simple, once we know all, but in reality the system of mushroom growing is quite complex, and simplifying it too much will result in failure. Most science can be seen similarly, and greatness in thought or literature can be simple or complex, it depends on the mind that created it. --Jim
Dearest Jim, Science can only be used if you manage to simplify it and translate it into an understandable language, catered to those that must apply each stage. That at least works in the mushroom industry! ~Pieter If one keeps science complex, it only serves the one who wrote it... as you mention above, the mind that created it. Hugs, Mariette
Thank you so much for this, Mariette. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Dearest Victor,
DeleteOver the ages we have had excellent writers that were able to phrase things well!
