Whirlpool Dishwasher versus Miele

Well, when Pieter took out the Whirlpool dishwasher I was quite shocked that it had NO sides but only insulation material—that was IT!
That's all... NO WONDER they are so noisy!
That's the Miele with a beautiful outside...
Perfection—built in Germany.
One learns so much from comparing the two brands of appliance!
Sure there also is a price difference but you get a nice Eco Friendly piece of appliance and great for saving energy!

  2. Very strange making a dishwasher without side panels. Could they have been taken off because the machine did not fit the aperture in the kitchen? Pieter is very clever to have fitted the new machine.

    God bless.

    1. Dearest Victor,
No, that one never had any side panels and the opening is correct for any dishwasher. How would the Miele with side panels otherwise fit in?
Yes, Pieter indeed was clever for fitting the new machine.
He had to adjust the water piping also. The new Miele also had a safety valve to stop the water in an emergency. Imagine finding your kitchen flooded...

  3. There's no comparison. Miele is one of those brands that over time does not disappoint.

Well it got the job done but it was noisy...๐Ÿ˜
The Miele can hold a lot more inside, is quiet and saving energy.

  5. Hi, Mariette and Pieter!
I have NEVER saw an appliance without side panels. :O
No wonder it made a lot of noise: there were no walls to muffle it. And I don't know if they could put it like that, legally speaking... Imagine if something happened? Who would be responsible?
    Have a blessed week!

    1. Dearest Paula,
We too were quite shocked but it actually must have come that way as there was nowhere an indication or connection where it would have been. At the time they built it in, we were not there of course as we lived and worked in Indonesia.
In the showroom they showed JUST the front, as it is inside the kitchen and we had no inkling about it being 'naked' behind that front panel...๐Ÿค”
It makes one feel cheated and indeed, the noise did not get muffled in any way.
There also was no safety valve for IF something with the water hose would happen.
      So glad we replaced it!
      Hugs,
      Pieter & Mariette

    2. Our appliances are not built-in, so I have no idea if they do it the same way here in Portugal.
      I hope not!
Lots of hugs to you and Pieter!
