Feedback on Kwekkie's Feet

Just like to show you how Kwekkie's webbing has healed and partly grown back!
Just love the perfect orange of her feet!
You clearly see that part of the webbing on her left foot has grown back.
So happy to see this.
Kwekkie's nostril visible upper left as he/she started to preen.

Well, with Snapping turtles in the creek there is always a danger lurking...

  1. I missed the post about the snapping turtle. Wow that guy was big. Pretty neat though even if I wouldn’t want one in my yard.

    1. Dearest Debby,
There is not much to love about such a monster...😼
We used to have big gold fish in our pond—Guido and Gianni and they have been eaten...
Ducklings got pulled down and eaten...
A danger for little kitties or puppies.

  2. Oh I forgot to ask, did the turtle bite your duck’s feet? Glad it’s healing and growing back.

    1. Dearest Debby,
Guess there would not be any other reason she got wounded that way...
It is awful, we had another female duck that got even worse bitten!
Sure, Kwekkie's foot has healed in an amazing way.
      Hugs,

    1. Dearest Kim,
She sure has and a lovely orange color too—it showed perfect while she was on the driveway.
Often she walks into our garage—acting like a sibling of our kitties and they are all friendly!
      Hugs,

  4. Isn't nature wonderful ... and self-healing, (when we let it).

    God bless.

    1. Dearest Victor,
Well nature would be more cruel. We fed Kwekkie and brought the food to her when she barely could walk. In nature there is not such a thing as after care or a full and rich nutritional meal for wounded critters... They often die because they become too weak to survive.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

Yes, the tender loving care and feeding her well certainly did pay off.
Kwekkie is also very grateful—they feel that we helped her.

Yes, those are no friendly critters—looking ugly and even prehistoric!
      Kwekkie has done remarkably well.

Ja, een goede voeding zorgt voor sneller helen.
Ook schijnt Kwekkie zich 'thuis' te voelen op ons landgoed en komt graag eten.
      Voelt goed.
      Liefs,
      Mariette
