Our Wreath with Silver Christmas Balls and Angel

Out comes of course our favorite wreath with Silver Christmas Balls and Angel...
LOVE the Silver Angel especially!
Love this quote:
'If we do not live, speak and think in the language of enchantment, including naming angels and recognizing spirits... then the soul will go out of our lives and communities, and we will wonder why nothing seems to hold together and nothing seems to have value anymore. ~Thomas Moore'
This is where I got the idea... from the hardcover book of Argenterie Giovanni Raspini, Florence/Italy.
Those wooden shutters remind me of my childhood as we used to have them like that!
Used to sell those silver Christmas Balls but they're all gone—only these silver gifts remain→click link: Spectrenoir
Oh and certainly candles belong to Christmas!
Different wreath as the natural moss one did not last...
But these are our solid oak indoor shutters.
Only ONE final Angel Cherub is hanging around in Spectrenoir ←click link.
A very sweet French door knob lavender sachet...
Yes, made in France that is!

    1. Dearest Ada,
Thank you and knowing me—I love angels and roses!
Oh, candles—and the light they bring—are lovely.
Indoor shutters I remember from my childhood and so happy we got them here.
      No dusty curtains...
      Hugs,

  2. What lovely decorations you have. It is so nice to celebrate and be cheerful at Christmas. I'm sure that's what the Lord would want us to do. To remember His coming to earth and the reason for it.

    God bless.

  3. That natural moss wreath was especially lovely, Mariette. I so enjoy seeing people's holiday decorations. Many years ago, when I was living in Halifax, someone broke into the storage locker I had in the basement of the apartment building and stole the bins of my Christmas decorations. Most of them were inexpensive and easily replaced, but there WERE some family and childhood "treasures" too. I can only imagine their dismay when they opened the bins, they probably thought they were going to find items of monetary value.

    1. Dearest Kim,
Oh, the natural moss was the best but you hardly can find that anymore.
What a fate for losing your childhood treasures that way!
Dad used to go with us to the woods to his very special spots for collecting the moss to bed the entire nativity in. We had a special kitchen cabinet with middle opening under the doors with glass. That was a perfect spot for placing it and to view from children's height.
Wish I had that nativity too, we loved playing with the cute sheep and the camels.
      Fond memories!
      Hugs,
      Mariette

Viola
