Three Blooms on BABY AMARYLLIS

Just have to share you our BABY AMARYLLIS...
Yep, Pieter did divide a bulb from our 8–year old Amaryllis and LOOK...
3 blooms!
Just like the Mama Amaryllis it got potted into one of our Delft White planters and is rather happy and look, another baby is developing on the side!
Both images are from April 17 around breakfast time.
This I took at breakfast time on April 18, the 3rd flower is almost open.
This I took today, April 19—from above to show you its 3 blooms!
What a loyal bloomers those Amaryllis bulbs are.

Have you ever had any babies growing on the side of your Amaryllis?

  5. What wonderful flowers. Our Amaryllis has now stopped blooming. You say Pieter divided a bulb from your 8–year old. Does that mean cutting the "onion" in the pot? Do we have to do this? Or leave ours in the pot for next year? All we have now is the "onion" and some stems with no flowers.

    God bless.

    1. Dearest Victor,
      They are wonderful.
No, don't cut the bulb but if there is a 'separate' smaller bulb growing in the pot—remove that and plant it in a different pot.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  6. Dearest Mariette,
Your amaryllis is perfectly lovely. How fortunate to have these pretties to enjoy at breakfast.
I have had several of my bulbs reproduce. One is a color I have never had in a large bulb. Another of life's little mysteries.
    Here's to a fine week-end.................Suzi

  10. Such a beauty, and you really have a green thumb when it comes to l keeping your amaryllis going dear Mariette. I just planted my three remaining bulbs into the garden for summer. I put them near the front door to keep my eye on them. Some years they bloom outside other years just long green leaves brighten up the spot. Will repot and bring back inside in September, and hopefully have blooms during the winter months. Such amazing bulbs and blooms.
    Hugs, Mary

      Mariette
