{Epiphyllum Bloom Missed...}

Oh my, we did miss our beautiful and FIRST bloom on a broad leafed Epiphyllum. We had looked so much forward to it but never got to see it open. We just got back from Atlanta and all we saw was this big 'closed' bloom. How pretty it must have been?! So we have to look forward to next time; as often in life. Hope you had a lovely day and some sunshine too. I'm rather tired from driving... So here are the photos and I'm off to bed!
She must have been just gorgeous!
When they came out of the greenhouse, Pieter did build a pedestal for them.
Its long stem almost looks like asparagus... Not the thin green one, as that is from another plant but talking about the stem above the flower head.
Like a silk gown...

  16. I am so sorry you missed the blossom. I am always so impressed to read the botanical name of your plants. When I was growing up I only remember the common name for plants. I have had Night Blooming Cereus for years and never bothered to look up the official name. Thank you.
    I once had a profuse bloomer. We kept it on our front porch. When it was budding the children and I would keep watch to make sure we got to see the beautiful blossom and smell the sweet aroma. I have several just now but they have not bloomed and I see no signs of blossoms. This summer has been rough on everything I have. Maybe yours will bloom again.
    Love to you, Ginger
