{Our Lagerstroemia Crapemyrtle in the Wood Garden}


  • When walking from our wood garden, across the bridge towards the house, you see this view. Quite romantic when this pretty Lagerstroemia Crapemyrtle is blooming. 
  • These photos I took after a walk around 7:30 PM on July 15, when we just had some heavy rain.
  • Raindrops are still hanging onto the blossoms and seeds.

    So good to hear from you! WOW! What lovely gardens & yard! I can imagine if my yard looked like that I would never come in! Just beautiful!

    So sweet of you to check on my i-laws...I wish I could say great but it honestly has been hardest on my mother-in-law...she is a sentimental saver & a journaler & all her journals & scrapbooks are gone. She never used a digital camera so all was lost...the hardest was all the kids baby pictures & especially of her son who dies last year. One thing too that is hard is my Father-in-law is a simple man & has decided he is too old to rebuild & he just purchased the trailer home they had rented temporarily. My mother-in-law is sooooo sweet & is really trying to make it a home & serve her husband but in her heart she really would love a real house. So when you ask her about it she tries hard not to burst into tears. They have felt amazingly blessed by everyone around them & are so grateful for everyone's generosity & aren't in need of a single home so in that way they are doing good. But I know it is hard on my MIL. She does a good job trying not to let it get to her. Thank you for asking Mariette! you really are very thoughful to even remember.

    I hope you get to enjoy your gardens a lot! That pink is just beautiful!!!

    Liebe Mariette,das sind schöne Bilder !!Ich mag den Garten nach dem Regen .Sieht alles so frisch aus .Nur bei uns hat der Regen diesen Sommer einen Dauerauftrag .Das ist nicht ganz so schön .Könnte auch mal wieder die Sonne scheinen .Alles Liebe Ina

    How I so enjoy to catch up on all your wonderful post. From bowls filled with yummy fruit to a gorgeous breakfast on rose petal plates, everything is always perfect and lovely. You make everything so special my friend.
