{Vintage French Limoges Lampe Berger by Charles Ahrenfeldt}

On August 30, when we were in the air on our way to The Netherlands, I did post the exact same vintage French Limoges Lampe Berger by Charles Ahrenfeldt but a signed one. Vintage Signed and Numbered 33 Limoges Lampe Berger by Charles Ahrenfeldt. Just click the previous hyperlink for going there. This one is the the very same but without signatures and number.
From France again, comes this beauty of a Lampe Berger with an artful Anémones bottle by Charles Ahrenfeldt from 1963-1971. On page 134 of the book Lampes Berger: A Century of History by Gérald Vilcocq you can read more about the history of Charles Ahrenfeldt. This is a stunning bottle and in perfect condition as well; complete with ajoured brass crown, snuff cap and burner wick. That is remarkable for such a lamp, being half a century old! This was available at my Zen Cart on line boutique: Mariette's Back to Basics.

Anémones on page 134 of the book.
Anemone tomentosa Robustissima is the botanical name of these flowers.
Also called Japanese Anemone, Windflower.

Triple initials CA with Limoges France and Porcelaine Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges France.
On the side of the brass neck is engraved: Made in France. And on the opposite side: Lampe Berger.

I could not scan that part, as this hard cover is too large, but it is written under the Lampe Berger at the bottom.

    What do they say?~ a rose by any other name is still a rose!

    This bottle is gorgeous but it is not Anemones. I think the flowers look like wild roses. I love the raised enameling and the rose buds. The colors are beautiful.

    ja dat zijn wilde roosjes, ook de knoppen zijn rozenknopjes, anemoontjes hebben gedraaide knopjes volgens mij.

    Altijd mooi limoges porcelein!

    Dat zijn echt wel roosjes en geen anemoontjes. Heerlijk, de geur van Lampe Bergér. Ik gebruik 'm altijd in de winter, na 't koken. Alle vieze geurtjes zijn dan verdwenen als sneeuw voor de zon. Èn 't ziet ook nog eens mooi uit! Groetjes, Inge

    Hello Mariette,
    no, you are not wrong. Those are definately roses. Often people are not sure about flowers. The blooms may look like Anemones but the buds and leaves show clearly which flower it is. Anyway, the Lampe Berger is a real treasure and looks wonderful.
