Biking in my Province of Limburg

Of course I did not say NO when Ellie's husband proposed to go biking together.
Using Ellie's e-Bike without altering anything, as I did not want to do so for only once using it.
We left around 15:45...
Just had to stop and I at least TRIED to capture these grazing sheep...
Photo later showed me that all those tall grasses still hid most of the sheep.
This was so special with 7 of the total 8 windmills from WindparGreenport Venlo and also you clearly see the red asphalted double bike lane!
For actually seeing this, in a 5:25 min video: Greenport Bikeway Venlo to Horst–Sevenum (Netherlands) [409]←click link
Bike lanes go over Interstate...
Again, the Windpark was visible from this country side.
A short break for sipping some water...
Not that many photos made...
It was lovely for being able to bike for 16.95 km or 10.53 miles
Supper did taste well and once again, I indulged in white asparagus.
Cucumbers came from friend Sissy's husband's huge greenhouse business.
After supper, I ate ALL these red currants, as well as the golden currants.
LOVE them and Ellie's son Tristan had these home–grown!

Stay tuned for more...

    1. Dearest Victor,
Riding your bicycle there is such a piece of cake, compared to the tricky hills we have here.
The weather was perfect indeed and the fond memories will last a lifetime.
      Hugs,
      Mariette

  4. Hello Mariette on Sunday morning!

The wonderful weather that day made cycling very pleasant and relaxing. White asparagus and cucumbers are a perfect match. Today I picked up cucumbers and green beans for dinner, which I will serve with chicken.
Have a great Sunday and an unforgettable week.
I send you hugs and heartfelt greetings:)

Oh sure did the wonderful weather contribute to this lovely ride.
Probably my last white asparagus as it is not available here... Loved eating it!
You are fortunate for having access to those fresh veggies and it serves a delicious meal.
Hugs and lovely Sunday afternoon for you!

I read your blog and enjoy every post I read. I read your husband's 1994 speech. Wonderful!!!

I wonder why I can't comment on your old posts. Has Blogger modified something again?

    1. Dearest Lucja Maria,
Thank you for reading my previous posts and for the compliment about Pieter's speech.
Blogger has so many problems, there even is no answer to that. I myself have not been able for a while to even reply to comments, nor comment at others' posts.
Then, without doing anything it just stopped...
      Hugs,
      Mariette

Ja, het voelt goed om zo'n geweldige tijd in Limburg gehad te hebben, en ook om weer thuis te zijn. Video WhatsApp hielp wel maar het is anders als er zijn.
