Bike Rack on Murano Platinum

Both of us enjoy having now our Bike Rack on the Murano Platinum!
Starting out biking from our home, located in Holly Hills, is rather hard.
But it is nearly impossible to find any flat surface in our area...
Here we are, with our 2 Schwinn Bikes on the Bike Rack.
I'm still holding on to my Dachshund Mauzie's wicker basket...
It is handy for putting things in.
The yellow rain coat is peeping out from my basket...
Well, we did get rained on twice, not so much fun!
We just sold our Dutch Batavus Cambridge Sturmey Archer 3 Speed to a gentleman in Houston, TX.
We took it upon us to drop them off at the Atlanta Cycling, on Wednesday August 16.
Bye bye...
Dropping them off and letting go...
Rode my Batavus last on Pieter's Birthday, April 29, and brother Jan rode Pieter's Batavus Cambridge... Sister-in-law rode my Schwinn and our niece rode Pierter's Schwinn - while the birthday guy took his nap! Pieter later joined us at My CoffeeShop where we enjoyed a beverage before biking back home.

Trailer Hitch on Murano Platinum

We both are so thrilled for having added a Trailer Hitch to our Murano Platinum!
At the local Nissan Garage they did an excellent job.
This cute little trailer has been built by husband Pieter himself years ago.
It came as a package from Northern Tool, on December 23, 1993.
Photo is from June 15, under our Quercus Virginiana 'Grand View Gold'.
Trailer Hitch is so neatly built under the car.
The trailer got nicely patched up as well, with some left over boards from Home Depot, which were graciously cut to size.
Pieter proudly showing it here on May 19.
Yes, we have hauled our Miele Dishwasher, Miele Oven, Miele Hood on this cute trailer in 1998 and also in 2004 our solid French oak bedside tables, coffee table and mirrors for the Rose Suite downstairs.
LOTS of compost and also heavy building materials for our Rose Suite!
Great for hauling off bigger pieces to the recycle center or for picking up compost...

Tiggy Dreaming of and ALMOST Tasting a Birdie...

It is such a WET Monsoon here in the Heart of Georgia... Oh my!
Need to build an ARK soon.
On May 21, it was so pleasant on the balcony, together with my tiny Tiggy-Tiger girl.
She is 10 years but looks like a kitten, also her weight is like that of a kitten.
SUPER smart and FAST!
While I was reading magazines, she was watching a BIRDIE...
Birdie sat in one of our Italian Cypress trees.
Oh, how Tiggy would love to CATCH that Birdie!
Following it everywhere...
If only Tiggy could fly too!
Mom, Birdies TASTE so good...
Far better than my next cat-supper...
Oh and Birdie is CALLING me too...
Mom, your magazines are not as much fun as my Birdie!
This is SO MUCH MORE INTENSE...
Mom, Birdie tastes DELICIOUS!!!
Yeah, Mom will bribe me with a treat instead...
Such BAD FATE!

Being a Feline is so TOUGH...

Do You Also LOVE Cherries?

SUMMER has so many bonuses for us to INDULGE in!
Do You Also LOVE Cherries as much as I do?
Yummy, freshly washed and one I had to trim back a bit due to a bird's bite maybe.
This is the season for using my Pillivuyt strawberry drainer with under-plate.
Tablecloth is from Le Jacquard Français with roses...

Oh, enjoying a magazine and reaching for refreshing cherries is pure bliss!
What is your favorite summer fruit?

The Fiberglass Window Boxes on our Kitchen Bay Window are filled with a variety of cream colored Petunias.
But they don't look the same at the moment...
This Happy Hibiscus has the perfect color for our home!

Are you enjoying your summer and your garden?

A COOL TIP for Making Shoes Comfortable

Finding and buying good, all leather and comfortable shoes is already a challenge but just in case IF they don't fit very soft yet, you can do something very simple about it.
So happy with my Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH score of all leather Cole Haan but the stitching on one of them did hurt me.
So I used a trick for stretching the soft leather with ICE!
Yep, did score these high quality all leather comfortable sandals.
Just the right heel size and love this color too.
Matches my Cole Haan back pack, another score.
My Elsie Leather Wedge Sandals for ONLY $ 49.99...
So I inserted a plastic bag and filled it with water, just under the faucet over the sink in our laundry room.
Just let the water trickle in...
I did pull them through the front as it was exactly to the right of that opening where the stitching did hurt because they were too tight.
Place them upright in the freezer and let it freeze solid.
And yes, the result was PERFECT!
The leather stretches and they now fit perfect without rubbing my foot.
Hope this helps you too.
Did it also with one pair of calf hair boots from Escada but I have not worn them yet...
The logic is there as the water will expand inside the bag once it freezes solid.
