{HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY | ALWAYS}

Wishing all of you, worldwide, a HAPPY SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY | ALWAYS.
YES, you read that correct as in my opinion it should be always 'Saint Valentine's Day'.
Not the commercialized way however, but in the purest sense of the word.
No one did write about this better than dear friend Celia from the blog High Heeled Life.
It is far more about little pleasures and little gifts that we find for one another; year round.

I'll check some HHL posts. I love your TOI & MOI, IT'S SO PRETTY AND ROMANTIC. Well, I don't know what's the commercial part about it..cause if you love someone, or you love your special friends, well, that's what's all about it. I just call my best friends for good wishes, and hubby and me eat take, or I cook something special and that's it!! When I had boyfriends, in my young and single days I got chocolates and flowers, or a lovely dinner, or some more flowers, that's it! You don't have to over do it, specially if you have no one you love, lol.. Very happy Valentine's to you sweet friend.

Dearest Mariette,

we do not buy anything commercial for Valentinsday.....we have our Valentinesday everyday and we do not need expensive things or flowers on this day.... there are little Valentine moments every day in our live with the ones we love.... a little note... a nice dinner... a walk together ....a smile together .....

Happy Valentine's Day, Mariette! The only commercial thing I do is buy a card, otherwise my plans usually include cooking something my husband loves for dinner and this year I am making a sweet little dessert for us.

Just popping over to say Happy Valentine's Day to you , Pieter and your furbabies... and what a lovely surprise to see mention of my posts (merci mon ami).

Around our home we try to keep it simple ... a note or card, perhaps a dinner out. Valentine's Day is just like post - note , reminding us to loving, kind and respectful to each other the other 364 days of the year. But we treasure our life together and feel very blessed... so often it's just another day... Wishing you lots of red and pink hearts!! xo C. (HHL)

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your love Mariette! I don't do anything for my hubby, he views it as a "girls day" LOL. He always brings me flowers and a card and lets me decide on what I want for dinner:) We don't bother going out because it's usually so busy everywhere but we may go out for a drink or two this evening!

I prefer simple and heartfelt and never buy into all the commercial hype. My co-workers at school were so delighted with the little Valentine surprises I sent their way. It's those simple little unexpected surprises that are the best. Hugs, Tammy

Good Morning Mariette, I do not need "baubles, bangles and beads" for Valentine's Day. It is the little things we do on a daily basis which is more important. If I am tired, my husband will do the washing up. If I see he has had a hard day, I will do something to spoil him. It's what we "do" which is more important, not what we buy.
I have enjoyed reading your blog and have become a new follower, and am sending you best wishes from England.

Love the 'Toi & Moi' so very romantic and a lovely sentiment.
I agree every day should be like Valentines day when we do something special, a little note, a kind word, or a lovely dinner.
