One of the spring's best shows in Southern Gardens are blooming Azaleas.
So come to our Gazebo area...
It is quite a dream at this time of our spring season.
This is how it looked on April 12...
You can see our home through the gazebo.
This year they were very healthy looking because we had plenty of rain last summer and also early this year.
Are those White Lace Azaleas not lovely?

This is our rock garden, a collection of rocks found on our property...
To the right you see our beautiful Glendale Azaleas 'Mother of Pearl'
This year they really were lovely!

Yet another species of azaleas to your right...
This is a cream colored Azalea which I don't know by name at the moment...
A view from the other side. In the back you can see our greenhouse...
Lovely dreamy spring in the South!

Hello Mariette, Azaleas are one of my favorite flowers, and planting them next to your summerhouse results in a charming, old-fashioned sight.

Good Afternoon Mariette, Firstly, I have to say, your Gazebo is beautiful and to be surrounded by beautiful spring Azaleas must be such a delight. I love the White Lace Azalea it is absolutely stunning and the close up took my breath away. The combination of pink and white is just so lovely. There is nothing like Spring arriving when the flowers begin to open.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Sunday.
Best wishes to you.

Paola
ReplyDeleteWow it's really like a dreamland!! Such beautiful azalea blossoms. They make your lovely gazebo even more romantic! I love the cream colored azaleas. Looking very unique and pretty.
ReplyDeleteIn my hometown in Japan, there is azalea park. In azalea season, tons of people visit to see blooming flowers there. I remember visiting there when I was small. Your post reminded me of that :-)
What a wonderful garden to spend a sunny afternoon!
ReplyDeleteLovely Mariette!

Hello dearest Mariette
ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely breathtaking! Snuggled under the canopy of trees is their natural home.
I can imagine how you wait in anticipation of these blooms arriving each Spring - such joy!
They have made my day - I must order a couple to plant for next Spring - if only I had more space!!!
Hugs
