{Apple Addiction}

Yes, for quite some time I had been eyeing an APPLE iMac retina display...

We did visit the Apple Store in Toronto, in June.
This photo is from the Apple Store, Fifth Avenue in New York City...
A beautiful glass cube!
Photo taken on August 28, during our sight seeing tour by bus.
Yes, after our June visit to Toronto, Canada, I did study some reviews on Apple iMac...
More and more I got convinced this would become our next choice!
BUT when I got this message on my HP PC, I had to act fast...
Finally saying goodbye to this problem set and all its spaghetti wires...
We had to have the hard drive replaced twice!
This was a display model at Costco Wholesale and the hard drive did not work when we got home.
One more time we had to replace it.
Only 4 years old but I don't regret for letting this noisy tower go!
Driving the 240 km one way, to our nearest Apple Store in Atlanta...
Happy new owner of this iMac...
Setting it up at the Apple Store...
Bluetooth wireless keyboard and magic mouse. -
Goodbye spaghetti junction!
On August 20, it proudly stood on my desk at home!
So happy with it!
So far it works great and I would not want to ever go back to a PC!
Video and photo viewing quality is unexcelled!

With 2 iPhones, mine being the iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air and now iMac it looks like we're Apple Addicts indeed but we both do LOVE them.

Do you also own an Apple, or several Apples?

  1. Hello Mariette, Historically, there have been important differences that led people to prefer either PC or Apple, but most of these have diminished over time. One real difference is the way the editing keys/backspaces work, and I find the Apple system counter-intuitive--but that's just me!

I wish you many years of good luck with your new computer.

  2. That is a wise choice, I finally took it too earlier this year and I would not go back to a PC either.
Many thanks for kind wishes, Mariette, I have never been a fan of Xmas and this season will be especially horrible for me.
Much love, take good care :)

  3. Love my Apples! P. was an early convert to Apple and had one of the early disk drive models. I did all my art history papers on it when I was finish my degree in 1989-91. After Proge's computer died a sad death we bought our first big desk top Apple, then I bought my MacBook, then Proge bought a MacBook. Last spring he bought me an iPad. Yes, we are a house of Apples! The strangest but most terrific thing was after years of having to use PC's at work, when I first used the new Apple it intuitively felt right. Sort of like riding a bicycle!

Hoping that things are well with you and your family..........*s*

  4. Like you, my husband has an iPhone, iPad and Mac. My boys both have Macs and love them. We all have iPhones but my laptop is a Compaq and since I only use it for blogging and emails, it's fine. I know the Mac works different from what I'm used to so not really up to learning something new. I get stuck in my ways when it comes to technology. And I'm definitely not a shopper when it comes to these sorts of things. My husband got an iPhone 6 as a gift, but already has one, so gave it to me, but I haven't even made the switch yet because I apparently need to save everything to the cloud so it can automatically transfer over and I don't ever backup or sync anything. I'll have to get senior boy to help with all of it before I make the switch. Have a good week.

  9. Hi Mariette,
A very good choice! I use to work for Apple for 4 years, and would not use anything else. I have the iMac 21 inch, and love working with it. I have been an iPhone user from the start and took a break from it to try the android world, but have to say I am happy to be back on the iPhone again. They're so much easier to use and easier to sync all your devices. And as you say, good to get rid of all the spaghetti wires and the noisy tower. Enjoy your new computer :)

  10. Good Morning Mariette, Firstly, how exciting to own a new Mac and to visit such a fabulous Apple store, in New York, it looks very imposing.
I do not have a Mac computer, but my daughters have everything Mac from Iphones to Ipads to computers and they love them and would never change.
I, however have my Lenova computer, which is lovely, as it works beautifully.... but you never know, in the future, when I have to buy a new computer, I will probably join the 'Mac Club'.
    Best Wishes
    Daphne

  14. I got a MAC this year and I love it, too. I have an iPhone 4s like Pieter. Can't find a replacement case for it; no one carries them anymore. I will have to upgrade some day :)
And oh, I hear you about those wires!!
