While descending, the weather was perfect and allowing Pieter to make two incredible aerial photos from the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
Seen to the left with the Tiber River flowing to the right...
As the plane turned, now St. Peter's Basilica is more to the right.

DeleteOh good grief, our job would not have been a good one for you... Both of us never panicked and we did fly as a commute to work; not on vacation. Doing so, we covered some 1,500,000 miles in the sky!

Dear Mariette - Pieter must have been thrilled to capture those photos of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
ReplyDeleteMany years ago we flew to Naples and it became necessary for our plane to keep on flying around (stacking) before it could land. We circled around Mount Vesuvius for half and hour and found it really fascinating to have such a wonderful birds eye view inside the volcano.
