When the pure white Thalia Orchid Narcissus bloom, with the Ipheion Star Flowers, it is quite a show! Both bulbs are perfect for naturalizing and the Thalia Orchid Narcissus is deer resistent too! It is a late midseason 1916 heirloom and highly fragrant! Available at McLure & Zimmerman, but only in the fall of course!
One of the loveliest of all daffodils. Two or more graceful white flowers adorn each stem. The petals reflex slightly backward "like the wings of an angel." Fragrant. Heirloom 1916.
Herer you see both, the Thalia Orchid Narcissus and the Ipheion Star Flowers. Available as A Constellation of Blue Stars. They are close to our gazebo, which is visible in the back.
Each year there are more and more, they even appear in our lawn, outside the bulb garden. They make a very pretty ground cover as seen below. The wooden walkway is also visible for making the Garden Tour from Book an Event. In the back you also see the pond.
The little shrub with the golden leaves is a Euonymus japonicus 'Ovatus Aureus' that is grown by Pieter, from the motherplant which you can see in the previous blog: {Our Euonymus japonicus 'Ovatus Aureus' (Golden Euonymus) } ←(click it) and in the back you see our {Camellia Sinensis Tea Plant} ←(click it) from a previous blog too.
Have a great Sunday - till next time!
