Here I would love to share with you our travels and adventures as international mushroom consultants. MEMOIRS about husband Pieter Vedder, who was a SCIENTIFIC PIONEER in Commercial Mushroom Cultivation Education. His practical handbook is in 9 languages and is called the MUSHROOM BIBLE: https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2020/08/modern-mushroom-growing-2020-harvesting.html
Dearest Kim, Oh, whenever I ate those unsalted mixed nuts, Dido had to have a sampling of cashews and peanuts. He sure was NUTS about them! His brother Spooky also eats a few peanuts but no other kitty ever wanted them. Yes, they are my favorite too. Hugs, Mariette
What a great video. Precious actually likes Brazil nuts. I can not even open the container without her begging for her bits. I break off tiny bits until she has had 1/2 of one. They never seem to upset her so I gather they are safe. Lynn and Precious
Dearest Martha Jane, Dido was such a special boy! No, we never had any other kitty liking nuts, except his brother Spooky eating a few peanuts. Hugs, Mariette
That is a wonderful memory. Thank you for sharing.
While our kitties never went after nuts, Jezebel (who passed away spring of 2023) liked salty tidbits. In her (and our) younger years she actually stole chips right out of my husband's hand as he put one in his mouth (!) and later enjoyed a tidbit from my guilty pleasure of McDonald's French fries. Hugs, my dear.
Dearest Darla, Yes, I'm certainly grateful for having captured this! Nuts seems to be rather rare for any kitty but oh, do they LOVE our human food and/or treats! Hugs, Mariette
Dearest Jo-Anne, Thank you and yes, guess kitties love to 'imitate' their human parents. They TRUST us 100% and that is why. It can be hilarious. Hugs, Mariette
Dearest Terry and Celeste, Thank you and it is a treasure to have now as a fond memory. Stella was a unique kitty I guess, just as our Dido boy. Hugs, Mariette
Hello Mariette, Your cats were always full of fun little tricks. I like the way he jumped to the table so he could manage the nut better--clever cat! --Jim
Wow; Cashews and Peanuts♡♡♡ I never thought cats LOVE these P;) I loved to see you are having fun time with "Angel Kitty Dido". I am having a little trouble with PC, But I will try hard. Thank you very much for the SWEET POST; Dear mariette.
PS; My husband told me that he wished to add his resent experience about cats. One of his friends who is an owner of 3 cats had hospitalized. So, my he needed to help her to feed these cats for 3 months. He said that he couldn't be a good friend with cats p;) Take Care; from Japan. Miyako
Dearest Miyako, Some people just dislike cats and kitties sense that! Too bad he did not get along well with them while feeding them for 3 months while his friend got hospitalized... Probably he didn't realize that the kitties missed their human parent and were kind of grieving. Hugs, Mariette

Dearest Wendy, Yes, he was a very unique kitty and I miss him very much. He was vocal and understood everything... Silky soft and sweet. Hugs, Mariette
Condolences on the loss of your cousin Hans, and your unique nut-loving Dido. Hans certainly was a gifted artist. It's not easy to bring a picture to life. His art is his legacy, and a fine one it is. I hope Dido finds lots of nuts on the Rainbow Bridge.
Dearest Wendy, Thank you and yes, we lost so many dear souls in a rather short period. Hans deserved this homage to him and our Dido boy no doubt will find his nuts! He was such a sweet kitty and now we only have his 3 siblings left... Hugs, Mariette
