Here I would like to show you our lovely Yellow Midas Touch Roses. These photos are form 2009 and meanwhile we have lost all our Midas Touch roses due to drought and heat...
- The little table square I have sewn myself.
- The yellow Limoges cup was a gift from a friend.
- The silver rose is my personal Giovanni Raspini rose. Sorry but all others are sold out from my Zen Cart on line boutique Mariette's Back to Basics.
- It looks almost like a still life painting...
- So utterly romantic
Do you love yellow roses as well?
the roses almost look too perfect to be real. i'm sorry you lost them to the drought.

Dearest Mariette、
ReplyDeleteWhat a GORGEOUS Yellow Midas Touch Roses and how sad what the drought caused them, my friend. Your table setting is really wonderful with matching yellow color; I enjoyed seeing all the arrangement(*^_^*)

Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful roses and how sad that they are gone. The cup is perfect with them and how sweet that there is a rose inside. I love drinking vessels that give a little surprise as they empty.
Thanks for the information about mock orange. We're planning a trip to White Flower Farm in May.
Love.............*s*
My uncle always gave my aunt yellow roses -- he passed away in 2005 from brain cancer. I love that yellow cup with the pretty rose on the inside. Hope you are having a good week. Tammy
ReplyDeleteDearest Mariette ... your photos have captured them beautifully. It's sad that you lost them to heat and drought ... but you will have them forever in photos and wonderful memories. Your setting is so lovely ... the table square gorgeous and what a lovely Limoges cup ... wishing you a brilliant sunny day. xo Blessings, C. (HHL)
ReplyDeleteOne could not ask for a more stunning table setting. So very fresh, feminine and delicate. Oh my goodness, those yellow roses truly are lovely. So sad to hear you lost these radiant flowers to drought. It's no wonder the silver roses are sold out, as it is quite an attractive piece. Wishing you a delightful day!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, ma chère Mariette. I carried a bouquet of yellow tea roses on my wedding day, and the silver rose is very special to me. Do you know the opera "Der Rosenkavalier?" If you do, you will know why I love the silver rose. In fact, the christian name of "der Marschallin," the main character, is Marie-Thérèse.
ReplyDeleteI will cherish this post. Merci beaucoup.
Dearest Mariette, I am so sorry that you lost those beautiful yellow rose. Your vignette definitely looks like art. I too love yellow roses. I have two yellow knockout roses but they are not as pretty as your Yellow Midas Touch.
ReplyDeleteLove to all, Ginger
Very nicely decorated and I like yellow roses. That I had in my wedding bouquet.
ReplyDeleteHugs

ReplyDeleteDear Blogger Friends,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments and glad you mostly liked those yellow roses and the silver one. For sure, if yellow roses were in your bridal bouquet; that makes for special fondness! And yes, Marie-Thérès, we do know the opera 'Der Rosenkavalier'. To you it even has more meaning!
Tammy, for you the yellow rose is also associated with tender love...
The Limoges cup from dear Friend Lei, I do treasure; she knows me very well.
Hugs to all of you,
Mariette
Oh so pretty indeed
ReplyDeleteLiebe Mariette,
ReplyDeleteich liebe gelbe Rosen ganz besonders, schon wegen ihrem Teerosenduft.
Johanna
