{Our Yoga Frogs & Friday's MH17 Flight...}

For his birthday a couple of months ago, my husband Pieter got this trio of very cute YOGA FROGS that now reside on our patio!
Don't you just LOVE these guys?
They are about the true size of a bullfrog.
Just rescued one this week, our cats had brought him inside the staircase area...
They go well with our pots on the patio...
Wishing you a lovely and relaxed Saturday evening Sunday!
~~0~~
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17.
My VandenMunckhof family from Australia did return safely to Kuala Lumpur on the very same MH17 flight; next day from Amsterdam. This flight will be retired next week... Guess my Uncle & Aunt with cousins (8 together) will have arrived by now at their home in Adelaide.
You can see here my 1st cousin Elizabeth being interviewd in Kuala Lumpur by ninemsn news Australia... my aunt to the right.

  1. Dearest Mariette ... loving these Yoga frogs!!! and they look fabulous among your pots. Wow I'm so happy that your family is OK ... this is a terrible thing that is happening with the airlines. Life is so precious and it is hard to believe that people exist to destroy life. My thoughts and prayers are with all the families and people affected by this horrible event. Wishing you a blessed week-end my friend.. hugs and blessings, Celia M. (HHL)

We both fell in love with these gifted yoga frogs and can see why our friend chose them!
Oh yes, what a relief to hear my family from Australia are all safe; it must have been quite an emotional flight for them the day after such tragedy, using the very same flight.
We certainly need to keep all next of kin in our prayers.
May your weekend be peaceful and blessed as well.
      Hugs,

No I cannot do yoga like those frogs; they beat me big time! But that's what frogs do, they are very flexible.

I am so very glad that your family is safe at home. The face of terror is a terrible thing and so wasteful and disheartening.
At various times I have been the only member of our family living in the states. There were too many close calls to think about, but all did make it.

The Netherlands sure is the hardest hit with its 193 victims; Malaysia 43; Australia 28 citizens but a total of 36 who called Australia home; 12 from Indonesia etc. etc. Interesting to read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_17

Sure it is a blessing that my family made it safe back to Australia but so many families are grieving in my birth country... There are no words and especially the disrespectful way the bodies are handled with and not being released to their loved ones.

In about half an hour the Dutch King will speak about the tragedy in East Ukraine, right after the closed gathering of the loved ones of victims, in Niewegein. It is respectful that no media is allowed and even outside the buidling, making photographs is prohibited. At least some respect and dignity for the loved ones as there is absolutely no respect for the dead bodies in Ukraine... So sad!
