Just would like to show you the silk Escada Rose Dress...
Wearing it here with Butterfly Shawl
Below post you will learn how to do that yourself!
Of course wearing my Majorica pearls...
This photo perfectly reveals the sleeveless dress as the 'Butterfly' did kind of slide off...
My hair in a ponytail with a silk rose barrette...
My Pieter found me this shawl when we were at a Rotary Club District Conference and I did check out the Escada Outlet.
Was grateful for Pieter spotting it as the banquet was a very cold happening with the airconditioning setting way too low!
Wore it gratefully with my Escada silk evening dress with roses, see post below...
The butterfly has full wingspan!
Pieter in his Burberry summer wool suit with silk tie in roses...
Haha, our Speckie girl did rough-up Pieter's suede shoe, the foot he's placed foreward.
So much for living with kitties!
A better view of the silk tie with roses.
Those were always the perks of working as international consultants!
You know that I love roses and angels...
Good enough for a blissful relationship! 😉
As promised, showing you how to obtain such a butterfly shawl.
It is in the Hermès Carré book of shawls...
This is it; you tie the ends together, than turn it good side out and wear it!
Voilà!
This is from an Echo Scarf Booklet...
Works of course perfect with a wool shawl for winter time.
So that is the outfit I wore with the 'Hat Elastic' shoes from previous post!

Dearest Victor,
DeleteThank you, hope it will please God as we show up like that...

Hello Mariette, You model that bright rose dress so elegantly! The trouble with hot weather in the U.S., especially in the South, is that people get dressed lightly, but then enter places with strong air conditioning. That is not quite so much a problem here, because electricity is so expensive that most places use their a/c more moderately.

Dearest Jim,
DeleteThank you, when we go to Church we want to look decent.
You are right about the rather wasteful way of the use of electricity here in the U.S.
In Europe, or Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, South America where we worked or lived it is never cooled that deep! Not even pleasant for being at a restaurant.
At least we don't abuse the use of electricity that way at our home...
Hugs,
Mariette
Lovely pictures
ReplyDeleteDearest Rajani,

DeleteThank you and the very same for your new week.

What a fun post - seeing you and Pieter in roses is a treat! I think Bob had a similar 'rosy' tie back in the day of daily business suits for work, and a lot a social gatherings. Now we're more casual I suppose. You look/are beautiful Mariette and I know must turn heads at church wearing this lovely outfit. I'm waiting for cool 'coat days' as I love coats and being able to throw them over a cashmere sweater with pants or skirts.
ReplyDeleteDearest Mary,
DeleteThank you and my love for roses shows, obviously...
We wear shorts most of the time but not to Church!
We seldom get to wear the coats and cashmere sweaters, maybe only the latter.
Hugs,
Mariette
Both you and Pieter ... quite the stunners in your beautiful pink hues!
ReplyDeleteDearest Helen,
DeleteThank you from both of us!
It also was the good-bye to warm weather days...
