On April 7 of this year, we both attended a lovely wedding in Milner, Georgia.
Leaving for home the next day, we did stop at the beautiful, tallest cascading waterfall south of Atlanta.
Pieter capturing this cascading waterfall at High Falls State Park Jackson on a rather nippy morning...
This is a photo from a polaroid photo at the wedding.
Yes, I was still on crutch with my double (closed) pelvic bone fracture.
Here we are at the wedding's dining room...
Wearing my silk/wool Escada jacket and Escada pant with RED Valentino sweater, shown in previous post.
This is a photo from High Falls that Pieter took.
So after so many years, we finally got to see this too.
This shows the lake and the High Falls from where we took the photo.
You can hike when entering the State Park but the weather was way too cold and for that you cannot be on a crutch...
Thanks for your visit and comment.

Hello Mariette, Obviously, I need to get to Georgia to take a look around. You have shown us so many beautiful scenes there! I do like waterfalls, both large and small. There was a small one at the Grand River in Painesville, but one year it was suddenly gone--I assume as part of some flood control project.
ReplyDelete--Jim
Dearest Jim,
DeleteThis is a very nice spot and no doubt great for hiking in the summer.
We just turned home from a trip to the Rocky Mountains Parks in Canada and did visit that tall Takakkaw Falls at Yoho National Park. That is the 2nd tallest in Canada, so we have now seen several in Canada.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeletenice pictures from this place, thank you!
You both look so happy together :O)
Have a lovely weekend,
Love and hugs, Claudia xo

Hello dear Mariette!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and you both look stunning!
Like the green scenery and the High Falls!
Thank you for sharing!
Wishing you a lovely day and a happy weekend! Hugs!
Dimi...
Dearest Dimi,
DeleteThank you for your compliment and we were so very happy that day.
Even with the cold, windy weather the scenery at High Falls looked inviting for a hike.
Hugs,
Mariette
How wonderful place! Have a nice weekend
ReplyDeleteDearest Anne,
DeleteYes, it was a wonderful place and over the weekend we enjoyed an even better place.
Hugs,
Mariette
Dear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your fracture and you are on crutches and hope you heal quickly.
Lovely pictures of you both at the wedding and I enjoyed seeing the Falls, looks like a great place to visit.
Take care and enjoy the weekend
hugs
Carolyn
Dearest Carolyn,
DeleteAt the time of the wedding I indeed was still on one crutch but since June 14 I'm off and doing well.
Hugs,
Mariette
That is a beautiful waterfall! It looks like a nice park! Your husband Pieter and you are dressed so nicely (well you always are!) and looking so lovely together :-)
ReplyDeleteI recently had the commenting issue, too. I couldn’t leave any comments and it was when using iOS. I think the latest software update messed up. I got Chrome app and now I can comment again using the app. I hope your issue will be resolved, too!
Dearest Tamago,
DeleteWe both enjoyed this wedding so much and had to see High Falls in the morning upon departure.
On my MacBook I could not comment at all and you might be right about the latest update. I have it here on my Mac sitting to be updated and kind of dread it...
As for the Chrome browser, we got that on both but it is for Pieter's accounts, due to logins and so far that has worked well.
Hugs,
Mariette
Beterschap !
Liefs,
Mariette
Hello Mariette,
ReplyDeleteMore time is needed for my husband and I to tour around Georgia I can see. Lovely waterfall. Beautiful scenery.
You and your husband take nice pictures together! Love that pant suit. Looks so good on you.
Happy Sunday
Betsy
Dearest Betsy,
DeleteOh, we both would love to tour around more in Virginia and take all its beauty in.
I'm afraid that our lives will be too short for accomplishing it all... But this way we can share with each other and a virtual trip is nice as well!
Hugs,
Mariette
Those falls are spectacular and you and Pieter look marvelous!
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
DeleteThank you for your kind comment! We are happy together and it shows in the few photos of both of us together...
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanks for your beautiful photos. We cannot see any obstructive and garish signboards around here. The atmosphere has been kept well by those love the fall and clean stream.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your impressive comment on my post.
Dearest RTC.,
DeleteThank you and yes, it always is great to be in nature without any commercial influence! We all need that for stepping back and relax.
As for the comment, I've always loved huge engines and can really admire them. Just recently on our trip to the Rocky Mountains I took photos of a cable car bearing... I laughed and said to my husband, okay one more not-so-feminine photo!
Hugs,
Mariette
Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeleteschöne Bilder - von Euch Beiden und dem Ort!

Liebe Sara,
