I beg your pardon,
I never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometimes.

Husband Pieter did bring in some beautiful roses the other day; with rain drops on them. One was our Queen Elizabeth AARS Rose that I like to share here with you.
LOVE those rain drops on this Queen Elizabeth Rose.
Don't you like it too?
Husband Pieter took these photos...
Fresh from our garden...
This photo I took later with my iPhone after I'd placed it inside this silver rose vase...
Crocheted pineapple doily is done by my sister-in-law Elly.

Yes, Pieter has always been a great photographer; all of his life and being it for family or for work he enjoyed it so much. That silver vase is a treasure and also the crocheted doily. You too have a great week.

Liebe Elisabeth,
Lieber Gruss,
Mariette
DeleteLiefs,
Mariette
I know this rose,it's absolutely wonderful and smells divinely!
ReplyDeleteRegards from Greece!
Dearest Olympia,
DeleteNo these are not fragrant at all... They just have great looks!
Hugs,
Mariette
Lieve Mariette,
Mariette
What a beautiful rose, and so beautifully photographed! The rain drops make it look even more precious!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day, dear Mariette!

Liebe Mariete,
Lieber Gruss,
Mariette

Gorgeous ... are rose bushes are starting to take flight and with the rain are sprouting their brilliant foliage... can't wait for the buds and the ultimate unveiling of colours. This year we did need to replace 5 .... the gardens are in the green stage currently.

Hi Mariette,
ReplyDeleteThis rose from your love is stunning. I love it, the color of fresh pink and the water droplets are amazing. Droplets I love to paint. How special to enjoy and perhaps dry or press for a keepsake.
Wishing you a wonderful week.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Dearest Celestina Marie,
DeleteFor sure you will be able to catch those special rain droplets and work them into your art!
Enjoy the remainder of the week.

Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteThe color of this rose is entrancing....perfect shape and color. There's something about flowers in the rain that's mysterious and wonderful.
Enjoy the week...*s*
Dearest Suzi,
DeleteIndeed, rain drops do add a mysterious veil over the beauty of such frail petals... In a way; almost like tears of joy!
Hugs,
Mariette
What a beautiful rose!! I love the rain drops on the flower. Such natural beauty! I've seen artificial flower with artificial rain drops on it, too. It was pretty but real one is of course so much lovelier.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mariette, for posting your reply comments on my blog. I should have thanked you more for your kindness! I think....I think I figured out and can get your reply comment by e-mail now!
Dearest Tamago,

Liefs,

How beautiful, Mariette! I do love the pink roses. That is what I am hoping to get for our little front area of our condo. The ones I saw recently marked down at the local supermarket are pink and I will be heading back there this weekend to get one. I had a variety of colors in the rose bushes I had at our old house.
ReplyDeleteDearest Kathy,
DeleteThey for sure will make for a perfect front area.
Enjoy planting them!
Hugs,
Mariette
Prachtig hoor.
Mariette
Oh goodness my friend..your roses are gorgeous and they're not even professional! Thank you for your WONDERFUL and always instructive visit darling, I so love it when you come over! Well, Spaniards don't really make the Egyptian linen, but I understand they embroider them, you know how they are so skillful in this field. Thank you too for all the tips on how to handle this linens, but really, I hate it when I wash it and have to iron the tons of wrinkles, lol.. Big hugs,
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Dearest Fabby,
DeleteThanks for your compliment! One thing the commercial roses can't deliver is the dew drops! A dream for taking care of our linens would be the Miele Rotary Iron.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Dearest Mariette,
ReplyDeleteWow, your Queen Elizabeth AARS Rose are breathtakingly beautiful and your husband is really sweet♡♡♡ Your gorgeous pictures warmed my heart, my friend. I'm not sure how hard it is to raise them but we (ladies, p;) DO love pink rose, aren't we♬♬♬ I enjoyed the song very much as well. I could see the reason of the phrases after watching the video. Lovely song and I thought I might have heard it(*^_^*)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Dearest Miyako,
DeleteThanks for your visit and YES; who would NOT love any perfect pink rose?! I'm pretty sure you did recognize that song as it was very popular also in Europe.
