During the summer months it is ALL about keeping your plants alive!
Let me show you one very Happy Residence on our Patio.
Now this is a Happy Hibiscus Pot Plant!
Love its color against our Benjamin Moore Golden Mist paint.
The Fiberglass Window Boxes on our Kitchen Bay Window are filled with a variety of cream colored Petunias.
But they don't look the same at the moment...
This Happy Hibiscus has the perfect color for our home!
Are you enjoying your summer and your garden?
Thanks for your visit and comment.
Hello Mariette, You do have a green thumb--that hibiscus is perfection.
ReplyDeleteHow is your summer going? I hope well!

Dear Jim,
DeleteThank you for your visit.
We have enjoyed our summer as we took a 4-night cruise on the Mississippi, New Orleans round trip.
Even though with heavy rain in the afternoons, all excursions in the morning went perfect.
Now we just got back from a trip to Florida, all the way to Miami. Lots of rain in the afternoons and one day was miserable with a Tropical Storm but I did crochet on my kitchen curtain...
Here in Georgia we got lots of rain as well, a very green summer so far. Not always easy for planning our bike rides...
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
It's so beautiful. My hibiscus was so gorgeous over the winter but unfortunately never survives the summer heat.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Hibiscus, dearest Mariette!
ReplyDeleteYes, we all have to keep our plants alive in summertime ...
Have a lovely week,
love and hugs and blessings, Claudia xo
Liebe Mariette,
ReplyDeletedas sieht sehr gut aus.

Beautiful colour, don't remember seeing a yellow Hibiscus. You seem to have green fingers Mariette.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful against your paint. Perfect!!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to revive a couple flowering potted plants that were neglected when I went up north. Some pruning and trimming and deadheading and they're looking a little healthier. Daily watering is a must!
I am enjoying hibiscus tea at the moment!
xo Deborah
What a cheerful looking flower. Your hibiscus is so beautiful, Mariette! I see red and pink flowers in our subdivision every summer and they are blooming beautifully now :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy August, Mariette. Have a great day!
Your home and flowers are a beautiful warm color, Mariette. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour beautiful showing for those gorgeous Hibiscus Dear Mariette San! I still remember three years ago. Just before double Hibiscus called Blue chiffon from the Nikon D3300 Camera.
ReplyDeleteHugs and happy Weekend to your husband.
Michiko
Colour orange is exceptional ! Very beautiful shrub Mariette
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Hibiscus! Our plants are suffering!! One heatwave after the other, with temperatures from over 40 degrees Celsius!!
We had big pots of hibiscus around our pool when we lived in Houston. Love them.
ReplyDeletePierwszy raz wiedzie taki kolor hibiskus jest śliczny. Pięknie pasuje do Twojego domu.Serdecznie pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteI have never thought to grow hibiscus in a pot, but now I will try, dear Mariette! Your pretty patio looks so cool and inviting, too! Yes, it is hard to keep the flowers happy when the hot sun is beating down. We so badly need rain here. I am so glad that you have found some help for Pieter in the gardens and that you were able to order the window shade from the Netherlands. Your crochet curtains are so very beautiful and something to treasure. Sending you hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteI like the sour taste of hibiscus tea.
ReplyDeleteIt looks a really healthy plant, and beautiful colour, and it looks like lots of buds too.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, Gordon.
The Hibiscus plant is gorgeous dear friend... as is your house and garden surrounding it.
ReplyDeleteI can see you enjoy your garden in Summer time taking such wonderful care.
Hugs,
FABBY
I love summer but now it's too hot for me. The color of hibiscus is slick and I actually fit into the color of the house. Regards.
ReplyDeleteHi Mariette, thank you for looking in and trying to figure things out, firstly yes Polecats are related to ferrets, but are generally smaller and have that particular maske type facial marking. And as regards the two polecate, Babe was my friends polecate and Bandit my new best friend, my writeing is rubbish and I maybe didn't make it clear enough.
ReplyDeleteThank you once again, and have a good week, Gordon.
That's a lovely hibiscus, and the color is perfect!
