We both are so thrilled for having added a Trailer Hitch to our Murano Platinum!
At the local Nissan Garage they did an excellent job.
This cute little trailer has been built by husband Pieter himself years ago.
It came as a package from Northern Tool, on December 23, 1993.

Photo is from June 15, under our Quercus Virginiana 'Grand View Gold'.
Trailer Hitch is so neatly built under the car.
The trailer got nicely patched up as well, with some left over boards from Home Depot, which were graciously cut to size.
Pieter proudly showing it here on May 19.
Yes, we have hauled our Miele Dishwasher, Miele Oven, Miele Hood on this cute trailer in 1998 and also in 2004 our solid French oak bedside tables, coffee table and mirrors for the Rose Suite downstairs.
LOTS of compost and also heavy building materials for our Rose Suite!

Great for hauling off bigger pieces to the recycle center or for picking up compost...
Thanks for your visit and comment!
Such a cute little trailer, dear Mariette! It does look like it is hard working with its heavy-duty wooden sides, too. So nice when you have to haul things and saves on delivery costs, too. Love your pretty Nissan, too - so sporty! Sending hugs xo Karen
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy week, dearest Mariette!

ReplyDeletedas ist eine große Erleichterung für euch.

So the equipment connecting the car and trailer is called hitch hike? The trailer looks very well made! Must be convenient when you have rather large items to haul.
ReplyDeleteWe had a break from rain yesterday, but looks like it's coming back. I wish you a wonderful day, Mariette!
Mariette masz pomyslowego męża.Świetna przyczepa. Serdecznie pozdrawiam.

Pieter did a great job. Sounds like the little trailer has served you well.
ReplyDeleteDear Mariette,
ReplyDeleteThe Nissan car's an excellent nice one, I'd like that nice so much. Pieter proudly showing it trailer look well.
Have a nice day. We had most of the rains day.

Such a nice trailer. I could think of many uses for it!
ReplyDeleteI like the trailer...that your husband fashioned it. I was used to that in my household some time ago. Miss the anticipation of a new creation. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are a smart woman, Mariette, to have recognized a talented, handy man and agreed to marry him. Pieter is an ace photographer also. He has a good eye and takes beautiful pictures! I wish I had the skills to build useful things for the home. On the LIVING WELL NETWORK, I love watching a show called, KNOCK IT OFF, about creating designer looks for less. I get inspirations and good ideas from the room makeovers, but lack the carpentry skills to build things. Once I tried to paint my apartment, but quickly realized it takes stamina and patience and so ended up turning the job over to a professional. I could have spared myself by just turning to a professional at the start. :)
ReplyDeleteA big warm wraparound hug,
Debbie
Dearest Mariette; Wow, the hitch hike sure must be SO convenient and looks so useful♪ Such a great job done by your husband to ease your heavy job.
ReplyDeleteSending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend, xoxo Miyako*
