{6 Antique French Christofle Coquille Knife Rests}

On March 1, of this year I did post 6 Antique French Christofle Coquille Knife Rests in Box. You remember, that was the article that got 'stolen' and published in the Herald Dispatch. The article has been removed though! LOOK: My Christofle Photo was published in The Herald-Dispatch. The good thing is that this set, complete in a box, did sell pretty soon. So this time I can offer you the very same but not in a box. These were aailable at my Zen Cart powered on line boutique: Mariette's Back to Basics.

 Here is the set of six, in perfect shape and ready for adoption.

 The Coquille pattern is a lovely one. Only a little cleaning and they're as pretty as ever.

Its top part almost resembles a feisty Yorkshire Terrier's face...

{2 Can Now Have Breakfast in Bed à la Christofle...}

From France I can offer you now a second Christofle oval napkin ring like I had offered before on August 27: {4 Antique Christofle Napkin Rings for Tray Service or Mixed Set Use}. This time it is even complete with its original box and it looks like it never or seldom has been used. So, why not snuggle up in bed and make your loved one and yourself a yummy breakfast on a tray, for enjoying together. Pillows all plumped up and having a bliss full day. Sorry is sold out...

With the weather getting colder and the days shorter, it makes for lingering in bed on a weekend morning. Prepare a romantic breakfast 'pour deux' with your French Christofle napkin rings...

This is the one I had posted on August 27 and the markings are the very same, except that it shows also the words Collection Gallia.

Who knows? These Gallia design napkin rings might have been used at 'le Ritz in Paris' after Christofle did equip this hotel with their fine silver ware in 1898...

{Our Lemon 'Meyer' Citrus limon}

Yesterday I did eat part of our Lemon 'Meyer' Citrus lemon harvest. You can get them at Logee's Greenhouses. The two that Pieter did harvest, were together on a branch and were touching each other. They are very juicy but the skin is rather thick. Not a great citrus I guess for growing commercially. So let me show you the results. There are still some hanging on the tree. Till it starts freezing the pots are on the brick patio near the greenhouse. Once the weather changes they have to be moved inside the greenhouse.

They do have seeds too.

These Lemon 'Meyer' Citrus lemon were quite heavy.

This photo is from August 3, still growing. If we would not have watered them, they for sure would not have been as juicy as they turned out!

Two harvested. They certainly don't look perfect and had some Citrus Mealybugs. But that's what you can call 100% organically grown and NO pesticide was used on them.

Not the quality citrus you would see at e.g. Whole Foods...

Here you can see even better how 100% organically grown looks like. Also with Pieter's fingers you can get a feel for their size. The two spots where they grew together does not look very attractive. They didn't win the beauty contest!

Read below the unbelievable story about 'No Lemon Tree!!!' where such a Lemon 'Meyer' Citrus limon got confiscated by the USDA. I just found out tonight as Zemanta did show this to the right of my blog post here... Curious, I read it and was SHOCKED! The Government taking this away from the US Citizens?! There seems to be a lot wrong with our personal freedom...
